Why didn't you tell us?" Ron asked when they got in the common room.
"Tell you what?" Harry asked.
"Your a Parselmouth! You can talk to snakes!" Hermione replied.
"I couldn't understand what you were saying! Everyone panicked!" Ron exclaimed.
"How could you not understand him?" Scarlett said.
"You heard him?" Ron asked.
"Yeah, he said, Stop. Leave everyone alone. Leave." Scarlett replied.
Ron sighed, "You're both Parselmouths." He said.
"Salazar Slytherin could talk to snakes." Scarlett muttered. "What if we're related to him?"
Since the Dueling Club, everyone whispered about the twins' possibility of being, not the heir, but the heirs of Slytherin.
On a bright Tuesday, snow started to fall and Professor Sprout cancelled Herbology so she could put socks and scarfs on the Mandrakes so they could grow faster.
Scarlett and Harry were in the library when they heard some Hufflepuffs talking about them.
"I've told Justin to stay in the common room, to keep a low profile so the Potters couldn't petrify him." said a boy named Ernie Macmillan.
"You really think it's them, Ernie?" A girl named Hannah replied.
"He's a Parselmouth, Hannah, no decent wizard speaks to snakes." Ernie explained.
"But, what about Scarlett, I mean, their both really nice." Hannah objected.
"They're a bunch of gits, who want to take it out on muggle-borns. " Ernie said.
Scarlett couldn't take it anymore. She got up went to find Madam Pince to check put a book, and chose the way in front of the Hufflepuffs group.
"Excuse me." She said politely. They Hufflepuffs shifted and Ernie yelled, "You can trace my family back nine generations, I'm a pure blood you Heir of Slytherin!"
Scarlett stopped and turned around.
"Firstly," she stated, "your supposed to be quite in a library. Secondly, I'm not the heir! I don't care what type of blood you've got and I have many friends who are muggle born, my brother does too!" Ernie paled.
But he got angry and said, "But, your brother hates those muggles he live with!" Harry got up and stood by his sister.
"It's not possible to live with the muggles I live with and not hate them." He said. "I would never take it out on muggle-borns."
The twins both turned around at the same time, walked toward Madam Pince, checked out their books, and left the Hufflepuffs in the library.
Hermione came into the common room and told the twins "It's going to be ready in two weeks, I've got my hairs, Harry all you need to do is take hair from Goyle. All three boys will be staying for the holidays and Scarlett--" Hermione paused and said, "you never said you'd take the potion."
"I, erm, sort of made a deal with Remus that if I didn't do anything extremely stupid then I can stay for the holidays..." Scarlett replied with an ashamed look on her face.
" 'Do anything extremely stupid.'" Harry repeated.
"Yeah, but sneaking around under the cloak doesn't count." Scarlett said grinning mischievously as Fred and George walked in. "What's she happy about?" George asked. "Nothing." Harry replied.
"Convince me." Fred said.
"Does he really have to?" Scarlett retorted.
Fred shrugged as the Weasley twins left.
The twins stayed up very late, half the time doing homework, half the time learning new things together. It seemed that the twins had a lot in common. Their hatred for Malfoy, Lockhart, and Snape, what foods or drinks they liked, favorite colors and, the real thing, what they wanted the most.
"All I ever wanted," Harry said, "is to have Mum and Dad back laughing and to have a full family."
"Same, but I also bet you don't want to have to ever stay with Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon." Scarlett joked.
"Yeah," Harry replied then looked at the clock. "We should probably get to bed."
"Right," Scarlett agreed, "night."
"Night." Harry said as they both climbed up to their different dormitories.
Scarlett acted the whole day like George's feeling hadn't affected her. But, they did. Scarlett still couldn't get what that 4 o'clock thing was. Or if it was even about her. Did he change his feelings? Maybe he thought he wasn't good enough for her, being over protective and all. What if..Fred actually liked her? And Geoge was just covering for him? These thoughts repeated through Scarlett's mind as well as a non-boy topic. Who was the Heir of Slytherin?
