It seemed like Scarlett shared Harry's displeasure for very outgoing, very flamboyant, people. Lockhart tried to draw as much attention to himself as he could; speaking loudly in a full of himself tone.
"My my, Isn't it the famous Harry Potter, come just to see me?" Lockhart exclaimed. As he pulled Harry towards him, Scarlett hid behind one of the Weasley twins (possibly George her crush.) so she wouldn't be seen too.
"When young Mr. Potter here entered the shop today, he would NEVER have guessed he would be receiving my entire box set...free of charge." Lockhart said, pausing for effect. The ladies in the shop swooned over his words and Harry and the other kids were soon pushed out of the way as they tried to get closer to him.
"Let's get out of here." Ron said. Before they could leave the shop, their path was blocked by Lucius Malfoy.
"Well you must be the Weasleys," He sneered, "Hoping to get some discount books are we?"
"Alright kids, lets be off!" Mr. Weasley quickly hurried over, ushering them away from the Malfoy family. Mr. Weasley led them over to an ice cream shop where they could wait for Mrs. Weasley to get her books signed. Scarlett pulled a package out of her book bag and passed it to Harry.
"I hope you like it, I wasn't quite sure what to get you since.. you know, we don't really know each other." She told him.
Harry opened the package and saw that it revealed Harry's invisibility cloak (he didn't know how in the world she got that,) and a note. "Happy Birthday to my dearest twin, what do you say we go pull some tricks on Malfoy? Signed, Scarlet. P.S I found the cloak when you left it in Fluffy's room."
"When and where?" Harry asked grinning. "Details in the common room." She grinned back. "Which reminds me," Harry said, " I have to go ask Mrs Weasley something." and he left. When he came back, Malfoy (Draco) followed.
"Well, well, Harry Potter can't even go to a book shop without making the front page." He spat. "Shove off Malfoy, your just jealous that he is more famous that you and your family." Scarlett growled. "Look here Potter, I'm not quite sure I want to be like your brother, because that would mean I would have a prat for a sister." Malfoy sneered.
"Well I'm glad I'm not like your friends because then I would have a slimy jerk face who thinks only for himself for a "friend"!" Scarlett yelled her face turning redder and angrier every second. By the time Mrs. Weasley came Scarlett looked like she was going to murder Malfoy while Harry tried to calm her down. Malfoy and left the scene right after Scarlet's remark. "What happened?" Mrs. Weasley asked.
"Malfoy happened." Harry replied. "He said that he wouldn't want to be like Harry because then he'd "have a prat for a sister"." Ron explained. "She sort of went mad." George said. "Took us forever to get her to sit down and relax a little." Fred said. "Potter should gain control, or my father will hear about this!" Malfoy just "happened to be eavesdropping".
"You know Malfoy, you have your opinions and I have mine, Scarlett is the best sister anyone could ask for." Harry snapped. "Well you must be a prat then too!" Malfoy replied cruelly. "You leave him alone!" Ginny yelled. "Oh, look Potter, you've got yourself a girlfriend!" Malfoy said. "Play nicely, Draco." Mr. Malfoy came to support his son. He took one of Ginny's books and put it back.
"Miss Potter, I would think that you wouldn't try out for Quidditch this year, or ever!" Mr. Malfoy sneered. "I'll do what I want, you're not stopping me." Scarlet grumbled. "Come Draco!" He called. He left with Scarlett turning red again and Ginny blushing. "Your trying out for Quidditch?" Harry asked.
"Oh, yeah every once and a while I play with the Fred, George and Ron--" Scarlett got cut off by George, "She's amazing! She is the best Chaser ever! If she doesn't make it, Oliver and I will have a very long, strong worded argument!" "So, you want to be Chaser then." Harry asked Scarlett.
"What did you think I was going to be Seeker?" Scarlett replied. "Alright kids, let's go back to the borrow. Scarlett are you coming with us?" Mrs. Weasley asked. "Of course she can." Mrs. Scott said walking toward the group. "Thanks!" Scarlett exclaimed hugging them. "No problem dear." She replied.
They all walked back to the Leaky Cauldron where they used the Floo Network the get back to the borrow(everyone one this time). When they got back, Fed, George and Ron asked the twins, "Want to play Quidditch?" "Your on." They replied. "I get Scarlett!" George called immediately. "I get Ron!" Fred yelled. "I get Harry!" They shouted in unison. "Harry, who's team do you want to be on Fred, or George. Harry looked at the twins.
"George." He replied. Scarlett got her Numbus and Harry arched an eyebrow at her. "What? I saw Malfoy's father buy like seven of Numbus 2001s if I was going to make the Quidditch team I wasn't going to do it because I bought the whole team brooms." She said. "Fair enough." Harry waved the matter aside and they started playing.
While Harry looked around for the "snitch" which was a flying shoe he caught some glances of his twin with the Quaffle. She didn't miss a shot. When the game was finally over the score was 240-10. "I must say, I'm better at Beater than Keeper." George said. "Same."Fred replied. "Normally Ginny likes come around and play with us." Scarlett explained. "It would have been more fair." George replied.
Then they walked back to the house for dinner.
