When I was younger, I used to believe in Heaven and Hell but now I certainly don’t.
That’s because it’s never where dead people go, but they do go somewhere.
Life is upside down. Upside down is how I felt and the reason why I became like this, I think. No opportunity, if there is one, will ever take me away from this life, which I call a cage.
We’re heading off to P.E now. Every step I take equals to the closer I will get to embarrassing myself in sports.
Can this day get any worse?
I can’t share my worries to Charlotte because she loves P.E.
I’m more of an English and Art and Music kind of girl.
“Charlotte, what are your favourite subject and your worst?”
Charlotte thinks for a while, “P.E is my favourite as I told you and Maths is totes my worst…”
Phew. It’s good she doesn’t hate English, Art or Music.
“…But I don’t like English either.”
What? Charlotte and I are nothing alike. She loves P.E. I hate P.E. She hates English. I love English. She probably hasn’t moved loads before. I definitely have.
I manage to arrive at the gym and hall building. I can hear the bell ring. Its five minutes until the class will start. I have no clue what we’ll be doing in the lesson but whatever it is, I won’t be good at it unless it’s meditation or maybe even dance!
When we’re getting changed, I tie my hair up, put on shorts and my polo shirt. There’s something uncomfortable about this uniform but I think it’s because it’s a new kit. However I should be used to new uniform because I’ve been through it before. The only uniform I ever liked was my Rosemoore Primary cheerleading uniform and Barden School’s as well as Lavender Hill’s because they let us wear our own clothes! Considering I tried cheerleading in another school, I might try the routines here too.
After I get changed, Charlotte leads me into the hall. Nearly everyone is here already, so I'm practically almost last.
“Girls, Hurry up. Class, I want you to do five laps around the border of the hall. No cutting corners…” The teacher begins.
“Who are you?” She points at me with a long crooked finger.
“Im new. Im Hermione, miss.”
“Second name?” She demands.
“Jones!” I reply, nervously.
“It was bad enough with thirty students, now one more!”
Wow. What a nice way to welcome a new girl.
“Im Miss Murray...Now laps, come on. CHOP CHOP!” She screams.
I start sprinting around the hall so I can get over with it quickly, regardless of how tired I'll be.
I look back, that’s when I realise no one else is running. I am totally confused. Everyone starts chuckling even Miss Murray is trying to hide her grin.
Charlotte's laughing too.
“Ha ha, you’re top is inside out!” A blonde haired girl giggles.
I look down at my top and gasp. My eyes become large and widened. I run into the changing room.
About forty-five minutes after all the unnecessary laughing, im finding my way to Geography.
Guess what-that lesson didn’t go well either. The teacher picked on me and I stared into space, trying to think of the answer.
Being picked on is the worst.
Back in Hallow Primary, the teachers thought I knew the answer because I was always the smartest, well smarter than everyone else.
When Geography is over, I go to Maths then lunch. Charlotte has told me, we have English after. I have a feeling something bad will happen…
