I should have just told her the truth. I grab my cell phone, scroll through my contacts, and call her, but I hang up on the tenth ring. She is done with me, why don't I just move on?
We feed Noah, and hug him until he giggles, but I don't have a change of heart, I just continue to cry. Noah looks at me, "Momma?" He says. I fake a smile, but he frowns. "Why you sad, momma?" He asks, but I don't answer, I just rub his shoulder. "Noah, you are two, you don't understand what is going on," I say.
I am such an idiot. Harry calls, and I don't pick up, although I want to talk to him more than anything. I don't call him back, I can't seem weak.
He can't actually not feel anything... can he?
Zayn walks into the room, and Noah screams and bursts out crying, scrambling into a corner and shielding himself from him. "What is wrong, Noah?" I say, following him, pulling him into my arms. "Don't take me again," He whispers, and then I realize. "Zayn, don't take it personally," I whisper into his ear, and he nods. "I know, he thinks I am the person who kidnapped him," He replies. "Noah, it wasn't Zayn who took you, it was Isaac, a person who looks like him," I explain, but Noah continues to cry, he must be tired. I pick him up and lay him in bed. I kiss his forehead, and he falls almost instantly asleep.
I hear the door bell, and answer it, but a hand grabs my shirt and pulls me outside. It's Isaac. "I know I look like you, but that doesn't mean you get Leah. She's mine. So get her to me," He whispers harshly in my face. He smells of blood. "Don't tell me what to do," I say back, and he frowns. "You aren't getting Leah," I spit, before walking back into the house and slamming the door. A note is slipped under the front door, and I pick it up.
I'm getting her, now you can either hand her over while I let you stay alive,
or I'll take her when your dead.
