Zayn chuckles. "Saving her life? That's a little extreme, even for a lie, don't you think?" He questions, but I eye him seriously. "The man who looks like you. Isaac, I think his name is. He took the kid, right? I love Leah. You know that. He knows that. And he loves her to. Well, that's not true. He wants her back. He's a drug addict, you know. I don't know what the deal is with him. Don't go near him," I shake my head. "But he gave me a note," I continue, "And it offered me the opportunity to get Noah back, and I had to do it, Leah loves him. But if he were to let me take the child I had to tell Leah that I didn't love her anymore so she would get over me and go to Isaac," I explain. Zayn is taken aback. "Why didn't you just take Noah and not say that?" He asks. "He told me if I didn't say that, He was going to kill Leah, and you, and Louis, and Liam and Niall. All of you. And maybe me too. And I wasn't going to let that be my fault," I say. Zayn smiles. "I'll tell her bro, And you guys can be together," He says. I hug him, and remember all the times we had as bandmates. All the amazing times.
"What about Louis?" Zayn asks. I shrug. "What about him?" I laugh. "Louis proposed to Leah.... almost. We got interrupted when Isaac stole the kid," Zayn reminds me. I curse under my breath. "I don't know mate," I shrug, "I don't know."
The doctor begins to talk to Leah. I hear bits and pieces, but I don't pay much attention. They leave the room to discuss some things, and I sit in a chair, waiting for them to come back. Yet I notice something in my right eye. Something about it.... it's different. I think I see a shadow or something. And the lights: I can tell they are on. Nice and bright too. I place my hand in front of my right eye, and press it against it. It's dark. I can tell there is no light. I take it away, and my eyes adjust. Its bright in here, compared to my usual darkness.
I hear Leah and the doctor walk in. I can see their shadows on the wall. "Leah," I say, and she interrupts the doctor to speak to me. "Yes, Lou?" She asks. "Do something. Move your arms, or legs. Just do something," I say. I see her shadow faintly on the wall, and I can see it moving. She raises her arm above her head. "You raised your arm above your head," I say. Leah laughs. "Oh my goodness Louis, I DID DO THAT!" She exclaims. The doctor places his hand on my shoulder. "We may be able to reconsider the surgery we talked about, Leah," The doctor whispers to Leah. I frown.
