Zayn tilts his head at me, confused. "What are you talking about Leah....... ? some man just opened up our motel door and threatened to take you. Is this really a time for games?" He asks, but I shake my head, sighing, and sitting down.
"When I was in grade eleven, Isaac was in my math class. I was hired to tutor him, and I don't really know how I got involved with him, but, he-he like me okay? And so I thought it was kind of weird but he treated me well until he started drinking and blah blah blah. So we had dated until I had to go off on tour with you guys, and I broke up with him that morning. He saw the initials on my wrist, Your initials, Zayn," I say, to Zayn, "And he threatened to get me back no matter what so I didn't end up with you, because he thought I loved you more....." I trail off, wincing at the memory. Zayns hand crept to my shoulder and he pulled me in to a hug. "Leah," He begins, "Don't worry, We are going to keep you safe," He assures me but I shake my head, blinking away tears. "But, what about Noah?" I ask. He sighs. "I-I don't know, I'm sorry," He says.
I hear a pang on the back door, being a glass door, I supposes a bird just didn't see it and ran into it. I walk over, not to see a bird, but to see a note taped to the door, flapping in the wind. I open it up, reach to the outside and pull it off, shutting the door again and sitting down on the couch to read it.
Your precious Leah, Who I am sure you don't care for anymore, is going to be in my hands soon. I took her child, who I assume is yours as well, but I don't care. She is going to come looking for Noah sooner or later, and I am going to take her away. She's mine. You can't do anything about it.
- You know who
I am confused by the note, yet also worried.
I love Leah. I hope she knows it. I have always loved her and I always will. The second I wake up in the morning I think about walking over to the motel and taking her home with me, but I know Zayn and Louis and Liam and Niall will stop me. So I don't try.
And now is my time to save her, prove I love her.
I see an arrow at the bottom of the page and I flip it over.
I know you want to save her. And if you do want to so desperately that you would trade her son for yourself, I would like to take up on your offer. Meet me in the woods behind your house. You will take Noah, return her to Leah, and then you must tell her you will never love her. You only saved Noah because you loved him. And that Leah means nothing to you, and that I, Isaac, her true love, should have her. And if you don't come by tomorrow at dawn, and you do not say such to Leah, I will kill her and the rest of her petty friends.
- You know Who
I know what I must do. But, who is Isaac?
