12. Conversation on the phone
By this time, I pulled the car over to the side of the road.
"What do you think I want?" the caller said.
"My friend, Kellie, is here with me right now. Can we discuss this later?"
"Just, excuse yourself for a minute so we could talk."
"Fine, hold on." I said and put the phone on mute. I turned to Kellie. "I will be back in a little bit."
"Okay, it's fine." she replied. I stepped out of the car and went to the tree beside the car.
"Yeah. What did you need?" I said, no answer. What? I looked at the phone and saw it was still on mute. I'm such an idiot. I turned the mute off and repeated my question.
"Did you ask her if you can move in with her when she leaves?"
"Yes. She said she will ask her parents."
"Good. When, her parents say yes, the plan would start. She will meet us."
"Hmhm. Yes, can I go now?"
"Yes you may." They hung up.
5 minutes later
"Here we are, see you next week Kellie."
