The next day went by slow, I looked outside and saw people playing. I saw them eating ice cream at the curb and I sat back in my bed, "Hey." I looked at the doorway, "Hey Maddie." She sat on the bed, "Why haven't you been outside, George doesn't live in this neighborhood." I nodded, "I know. I can't go outside." She shrugged, "Why?" I sighed, "Last night I broke my ankle. I texted you." She sighed, "Sorry, but how?" I looked at my phone, "Jumprope. George took me to the hospital. Carried me in." She smiled, "What all happened?" I shrugged, "Got to know eachother a bit, that's it." She hit my leg, "MADDIE!!" She looked down, "Oh My, I'm so sorry. Back to you and George, when's that wedding?" I laughed, "There is no wedding. We're just buddies." She laughed, "Yea right. A guy who was willing to carry you around, you must mean something to him." I laughed, "Yea a girl who needs to work on her skateboard cred." I heard George's voice downstairs, "You must mean more to him." I shook my head, "No, he's visiting me as a friend. He likes another girl." She patted my shoulder, "I'm so sorry."
"She's upstairs in her room. First door to your left." I ran upstairs and waited by the door, "No, he's visiting me as a friend. He likes another girl." Who are they talking about?? Her friend patted her shoulder, "I'm so sorry." She hugged her, "George isn't worth the crying. You just started talking to him yesterday, you can't love somebody just over a conversation." She wiped away some of her tears, "I know, I just felt like we had something. He didn't have a girlfriend. He hasn't seen his dad in ages. But then he says he likes another girl." I leaned against the wall, Tatum was crying over me. When I said I liked another girl, I meant her. I couldn't tell her that, I've liked her since I was ten. She never seemed to take notice in me back then, what's changed now? I looked at my body, I lost weight. I heard Maddie walking towards the door and I pretended that I just got upstairs, "Is Tatum in there?" She nodded, "Yea, but why do you care?" She walked past me giving me the death glare as I walked in her room, "Hey." She looked up at me, "Hey, what are you doing here?"
"Hey, what are you doing here?" I knew he was here, but how long? "I just wanted to see how your ankle was doing." I nodded, "It's doing a lot better. I have to go back on Monday." He smiled, "I could take you if you'd like." I bit my lip, "Actually I think my mum has it." He laughed, "Can she carry you?" I shrugged, "Don't know, but Tyler's here too." He nodded, "I'll talk to ya later. Bye." He left awkwardly and I frowned, "Bye."
