Ink on the Quill

"All dreams come from a drop. All wishes come from a scratch. All things come, from ink on the quill." This is a compilation of poetry that I have written from when I was quite young up to now. The subject, theme and skill level all change dramatically from poem to poem. I would love to hear your feedback along with which one you enjoy most!

2. Release

It's trembling.
You can see it, fluttering
weak against the wind.

It's dying.
You know it, as it flickers
and bounces helplessly.

It's hopeless.
But that doesn't stop the pain,
Caressing the branch of its birth.

Then,
angels breath
a gust of hope
and...

release.

The leaf falls,
Gravity calls
As it sings through the air.
Life lost in a sigh
Brown paper flying by
It kisses the earth.

Lost in its tender embrace,
Crumpled in its cold comfort
Wretched in its beauty.
Slowly,
Sinking
Dying
Living
Fighting...

A small brown leaf,
Falls from a tree,

Life lost, in a sigh.
