7. Chapter 7
We left the cemetery and made our way to my house. Tyler was complaining, saying he didn't want to go and that I couldn't make him go. He pulled into my driveway and I pulled him out of the car and into the house. "Hey Mom! I'm home!" I yelled to my mother. I say Tyler on the couch and walked into the kitchen to get drinks. "Trevor! What are you doing tonight?" My mother asked, steadily becoming quieter as she walked downstairs, closer to us. "Taking Tyler out for his birthday." I answered as she walked into the kitchen. "And you didn't ask if you could go out." She scolded. I took her arm and pulled her into her bedroom.
"Mom, he hasn't celebrated his birthday since his party at Chuck E. Cheese's when he turned 9. Let me take him out tonight and show him that he doesn't have to be sad." I begged. "Ok just be back by 11, ok?" She asked. "Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you so much mom!" I yelled. "Oh, here's 50 bucks. Spend it wisely." She said. I responded by kissing her on the cheek and running into the living room. I grabbed Tyler's arm and pulled him into my bedroom to get ready.
"Trevor! I don't want to go out!" Tyler yelled at me. "I don't care! You need to live your life!" I yelled back. He crossed his arms across his chest and sat on my bed. I put on a v-neck navy American Eagle shirt and a pair of white skinny jeans. I threw on a pair of black Vans and we left to go Freddy's party.
