Lily tucked a long strand of her dark, flowing red hair behind her ear and smiled gently as she watched her husband James teasing the children. Harry and Rosanna watched and giggled as their father produced puffs of colorful smoke using his wand. Suddenly, the door flew open. James screamed at Lily to take Harry and run, forgetting about Rosanna. A man in a dark cloak stepped forward and pointed his wand at James. Rosanna watched with wide, fearful eyes as a burst of eerie green light filled the room and-
"ROSIE! ROSIE! ROSIE! WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!"
I grumbled and looked up to see my best (and sometimes annoying) friend Constance.
"What do you want Constance... I'm still tired!"
"WE'RE GOING TO KING'S CROSS FOR A FIELD TRIP! COME ON! COME ON COME ON COME ON! WE'RE LEAVING IN LIKE, 10 MINUTES!" She was practically BURSTING with joy and energy.
"Alright Constance. I'll get dressed, as long as you don't bother me." Constance quickly covered her mouth with her hand and squeaked something that sounded like, "I'm sorry!"
After we got off the bus, I looked around.
Constance took my hand.
"Rosie, let's go and explore!" Typical Constance. Always looking for something to do.
I agreed, and followed her around. We stole some stuff from random people (actually, I was the only one who did it. Constance just watched me.), bumped into strangers that screamed at us to buzz off, and just walked around feeling bored. Boo!
But one thing was interesting. When we reached Platform 9 and 10, I saw a chubby black haired boy with cracked glasses and bright green eyes standing next to me. Constance grabbed my hand. "Hey, what are they doing?" she whispered.
I noticed a family with the same bright red hair and freckles. One of them ran between Platform and 10. Constance giggled, probably thinking that this was some kind of prank and that he was going to crash into the wall.
Instead, he went through the wall. I rubbed my eyes, thinking I was hallucinating. But another person with the same bright red hair ran up to the wall and went through again.
By then Constance and I were watching with wide eyes and the chubby dude with green eyes and glasses pushed his luggage towards the family.
Apparently he was asking them how to do the prank too.
Constance tried to pulled me away. "Come on Rose.... no offense, they seem nice and cool, but- they kind of creep me out...." she mumbled in a small voice. I stayed glued to the floor, not willing to move and wondering what they were doing. A prank? Where was the person who was hidden and holding a camera?
"Come ON Rosanna! We er, need to go!"
I stayed rooted to the floor, even though it was probably serious... Constance only says "Rosanna" when its serious...
She looked at me with a look of utter defeat and sadness and staggered away.
Inside my head, I was screaming. So what if I don't wanna go with you? Everything I do is what YOU want to do! You're being such a drama queen! All this fuss over a PRANK!
I whipped my head around to see the chubby dude gone, and the mother and her daughter leaving.
"Wait!" I cried out. They turned their heads looking shocked.
"What were you doing, running into the wall? Was it some kind of prank?"
And yet they still stared at me, stunned.
When they got out of their shocked stage, I folded my arms across my chest.
"Oh... o-oh.. you s-saw u-us? B-but aren't you j-just a m-muggle?" the woman stuttered.
"Whats a muggle?"
"Umm..... no, you know too much! Come on Ginny, let's go."
As they walked away I felt bursting with anger. Seriously? Well THAT'S rude.... Geesh, some people...
I studied the wall. Hmm.......
Oh heck, I'm just going to walk through it. And so I did.
