I got out of the shower and got dressed. I had picked out a cute white strapless sundress with tan sparkley sandals and a blue heart necklace. I dried my hair and decided to straighten it. I added a little bit of mascara and cherry-flavored lipgloss.
I watched my reflection in the mirror as I finished applying my lip gloss. Of course I won't meet One Direction, that's highly impossible. Who would want to meet an average girl like me? I'm not anyone special. I'm just...me. There's nothing to like.
I sighed and put my lipgloss back in my suitcase. "Alright Lilly, let's go rock out at this One Direction. You'll finally be able to see Harry." I said to myself and smiled. I grabbed my suitcase and walked out of the steamy bathroom only to approach a very impatient Hannah.
She glared at me. "It took you long enough! That was like an hour in a half! Like, damn Lilly. I still have to take a shower!"
I grinned at her. "Sorry 'bout that. I have to make sure I look proffesional."
She shook her head and slammed the bathroom door behind her.
I plopped down on the bed and looked at the time. 2:34 p.m. It's that late already? That means I woke up at around 1! How could I sleep in that late? It's not like I was dreaming about anything special....oh wait. Memories of the dream I had last night of me and Zayn came flooding back into my head and I felt myself blush a little.
I shook my had and walk towards the window, admiring the view. I started talking to myself, saying, "Don't dream about him. He's just going to get inside your head. You don't love him, so don't dream about him. He-"
"Who?" Hannah asked, making me jump.
"Who were you talking about? You were talking about some guy saying you shouldn't dream about him, you don't really love him. So who is this 'him?'"
My eyes went wide. I didn't even hear her come out of the bathroom. "I wasn't talking about a specific guy. Just about a general guy I was dreaming about. I don't even know his name but he was cute!"
She eyed me suspiciously for a couple of seconds, then just shrugged it off. "Okay, whatever, we have a concert to go to anyways."
"Do we have backstage passes?" I asked.
"Then how are we going to personally meet One Direction."
Hannah's expression saddened. "Oh...I haven't actually thought about that. I was thinking that it would magically just happen, and we would meet them. I'm sorry Lilly, I never thought that-"
I put a hand in the air to stop her talking. "Hannah, it's fine. At least we are even going! I don't really care if we personally meet them or not. I just want to see my five lovers on stage singing to me." She cleared her throat. "I mean us. Singing to us." I winked.
She smiled, then she started heading for the door. "We better go now if we want to get there early and try to 'accidentally' run in to One Direction."
I laughed and started heading out with her until my stomach started to growl. "Hey, are you hungry at all?"
"No, I had lunch while you were asleep."
"Hmm. Okay, well, I think I'm going to get something to eat first, and then I'll meet you there. Sound like a deal?"
Hannah nodded her head. "Yeah, just text me when you're done okay?"
Then we walked our sepperate ways, her distant yelling of "taxi" started fading more and more until it was completely gone, and I couldn't hear her anymore.
I walked a couple of more blocks until I reached a small corner coffee shop.
I went in and saw there was barely anyone here; just an old couple and a middle-aged man reading a newspaper. I reached the counter and noticed nobody was there. I rung the bell.
I rung again.
Still nobosy showed up.
I was about to ring it again when a someone grabbed my hand, stopping me. "Uh..." I looked around and saw no one around me. "How...?"
"Down here." I looked down to see a migit barely even taller than the counter. He was oddly glaring at me. "What would you like?"
I tried so hard not to crack up. It's not that I'm a mean person, I wasn't laughing at the fact that he was a migit, just this whole situation was akward. "Can I just get a blueberry muffin and a carmel frappuccino?
"Sure whatever." He trudged away and stepped on a stool to start working on my order. Minutes later I got my blueberry muffin and carmel frappuccino and instead of enjoying it in the store, I decided to take it on the road.
I called a taxi and told the driver the address to the concert. We rode in silence and I went on my phone. I'm not a big person on technology, I just mainly text or make calls to people. I don't have a twitter account, instagram account, or even a facebook. Something like that just seems stupid and a waste of time for me.
"Oh no..." The driver mumbled. We started going slower and slower until we stopped. He pulled us over and started calling someone.
I was starting to freak out. "What are you doing! We need to go! Why did you stop? I have a concert to get to, and if I don't make it because of you, you will not see tomorrow!"
"Chill girl, we have a flat tire. Call someone to come pick you up or go hitchhike or something."
"You're unbelievable." I walked away carrying my muffin in one hand, and my drink in the other. I trudged on and on, trying to hold up my thumb while holding my muffin. Cars drove by me, not even slowing down for me.
Later, I pulled out my phone, ready to call Hannah, when it died. That's just my luck. My phone died and I'm not going to see One Direction. Great.
My thoughts stopped when a bus was slowling down beside me, almost as if it was stopping for me. No wait...he was stopping for me. What the heck? I never heard of that. A bus actually stopping for a hitchhiker? He better not be expecting me to pay.
The bus pulled over in front of me, and a big guy in all black wearing black sunglasses stepped out in front of me. "Where are you headed to, ma'am?"
"Uh... well, I have a ticket to a One Direction, and I was headed there right now in a taxi until he got a flat tire so... here I am." I smiled weakly at him, hoping he wasn't some kind of creeper.
"Well, actually, we were just on our way there too. Would you like a ride?"
"Uh... yeah sure. Only if it's not a problem for you."
"No problems." He said in a low and kind of scary voice. "Come right in." He led the way onto the bus, and told me I could sit up front with him. I heard some muffled laughter from the back of the bus and I tried to look back to see who else was sitting on the bus, but there was a big curtain in the way.
"Hey, didn't you say 'we?' As in there are more people than just you on this bus?"
"Yes. There is."
"Who else is on this bus? Could I meet them? After all, I don't want to be a rude hitchhiker. And if you guys are going to the One Direction concert, I want to see if they are crazy about One Direction like I am."
He laughed as he started pulling onto the road. "Oh, they are definitely crazy about One Direction. You'll see."
"So does that mean I can go back there?"
"Be my guest."
I shrugged and opened the curtain, turning around to close it back. I then turned around to see what I never thought I would see right in front of me. One freaking Direction was right in front of me. HOLY SHIT!!
Okay stay calm Lilly.
Don't hyperventilate now...
"Hi. Are you the hitchhiker we just picked up?" Niall freaking Horan asked me.
I couldn't even find my voice, I just nodded slowly.
"Well, make yourself at home." Said Zayn. "Oh wait, what's your name, love?"
"Uh...uh..." Think! THINK! "Lilly!" I shouted out loud. "Oh sorry, I'm Lilly."
"Well, we still have about 30 minutes until we get there, so go ahead and chill." Niall smiled at me.
Chill? How can I possibly chill with One Direction right in front of me?!?!
I think I just died.
This was indeed quite a little encounter.
