5. I Can't Believe...

Liam came back out after like 5 minutes of waiting, god he took forever.

"Jesus how long does it take to get your fucking school stuff." I groaned walking up to him.

"Oh calm down, Jr." He smirked at me using my parents nickname for me.

"Sure thing mother." I said rolling my eyes. I have no clue how I all of a sudden have enough confidence to sass someone, its never really been my personality.

"I like the lipstick by the way. I like the fact that you don't wear a lot of make up." He said smiling down at me as we began walking.

"Thanks? I look exactly like Jade without make up on." I said but the first part came out as a question.

"Yeah, Kinda" He said and we continued walking to the school. It was quiet between us both of us probably lost in our own thoughts.

"By the way I like your dancing." He said out of nowhere. I hit his arm lightly.

"Don't watch me dance." I said sternly looking up at him.

"Don't touch the glass box, don't watch you dance, Don't touch your vagina obviously. Is there any other Don't do's I need to know?" He said looking down at me.

"Don't say that word."

"What word?"

"The v word" I whispered causing Liam to laugh.

"You are so innocent!" He said poking my cheek making me pout. We were now in the school building and people were staring.

"Liam they are staring." I said nudging him.

"Let them." He replied draping his arm over my shoulder.

“What are you doing?” I whispered.

“You told that one chick that I’m your boyfriend. I’m just playing my part,” he whispered back.

I nodded and turned my head around at the people staring. I need to find Raeden.

Bethany and her clique walked slowly over to us with their obnoxious swagger. I hate them so much. They are like the plastics in Mean Girls but a thousand times worse.

“Hey, Jaylin! How are you? Your outfit is fantabulous!” she screeched.

“What the actual-“ I said at the same time Liam said, “I thought you didn’t-“

We looked at each other and laughed. Wow.

I turned back to say, “Just shut up and go away already,” but Bethany was already gone. I looked around the cafeteria, and I couldn’t spot her anywhere. She is like a ninja or something, I swear.

“What is she a ninja?” Liam asked. We think alike apparently. I laughed.

“Are you excited for the show tonight? We have back stage passes apparently,” Liam asked me.

“Of course I’m excited! I love watching Little Mix sing,” I replied.

~Jade’s P.O.V.~

What are we going to do! I need someone to fill in for Perrie tonight! We can’t have a show without her! Perrie has tonsillitis and she can’t sing.

Louis was running up to me with a big grin on his face.

“Perrie has tonsillitis,” he smiled.

“Why are you smiling that’s terrible!” I scolded him.

“You need someone to go on as her,” he went on.

“Yeah I do, but unfortunately Lou, you’re kind of a guy.”

“I know but that’s not it. I know who can replace Perrie! She sounds almost exactly like her, I swear!”

“Who?” What the hell?

“Raeden! She sang to me this morning and she is fantastic. She sounds and looks almost exactly like Perrie!”

Is this really one of those moments where I ask myself why I didn’t think of that? Am I really that blonde? But I guess we do need someone. But I haven’t heard Raeden sing since we were little. What if she isn’t even good?

“Alright, but she has to sing with us in the dressing room before hand, and you better make sure she knows every damn lyric and pitch, because if you make me look stupid I swear on my leather tennis shoes, that I will undoubtedly make you pay.”

“Yes ma’am.”

~Raeden’s P.O.V.~

“I cannot believe that you talked me into this Lou!” I said.

I was about to be in the dressing room, singing to the girls, so I could pretend to be Perrie all night. Honestly, I’ve always wanted to be Perrie but, this isn’t exactly what I meant.

“I can’t believe I did either! I’m so excited!” he replied.

I walked through the door of the dressing room, and looked at the girls. They were sitting on the couch expectantly.

“What would you like me to sing?” I asked.

“I personally like when she sings Red Planet, but you know,” Louis said.

“Red Planet it is then. Go for it babe,” Jade said.

I stepped on stage with the girls. I swear my heart was beating faster than ever before. Beads of sweat began to form on my forehead. I looked to the front row, and saw the boys, with Jaylin.

Where’s Perrie?

When I looked to the side of the stage, my questions were answered. She was wearing my clothes and standing in an awkward position, that I realized I’m standing in now.

The band began playing Competition.

Yeah, you're such a gentleman
You always open doors for me
But you see us kind of different
It's like you always have to be
The first one to open his mouth
The last one to throw in your towel
It's time to chill yourself out
Boy you're trying
Just a little bit too hard
I thought I told you when we met
That I like you for who you are
But I think you like an argument
I don't need to speak in my mind
I'm too grown, I'm taking my time
I'm sick of hearing you whine
Listen, baby” Jesy began to sing.

“You don't have to come first
Second is okay 'cause you ain't ever beating me.” Leigh-Anne sang.

“I say it once
You say it twice
You know I like a little competition from time to time
You think I'm wrong when I know I'm right
You lose this ain't no kinda competition
I like a man with ambition
But when you gonna know it's time to let go?
'Cause I think I'm about to lose my mind.” I sang with the girls.

“Tell me does it scare you,
That I'm living my dream?
Now I don't mean to hurt you
But you make me wanna scream
You smile while grinding your teeth
You clap while stomping your feet
You act about 17
I'm so tired.” I sang. I hope I hit all of the notes.

“You don't have to come first
Second is okay 'cause you ain't ever beating me.” Jade sang.

“I say it once
You say it twice
You know I like a little competition from time to time
You think I'm wrong when I know I'm right
You lose this ain't no kinda competition
I like a man with ambition
But when you gonna know it's time to let go?
'Cause I think I'm about to lose my mind.” I sang again.

“I can do it better
You know I can do it better.” We all sang.

“What you tryin' to prove?
What is it with you?
Always thinking,” Jade sang.

“I can do it better
You know I can do it better,” we sang.

“Baby, I can't stand
Always arguments
Why you wanna fight?” Jade sang.

“You ain't always right
I can do it better every day and every night
I can do it better every day and every night

I say it once
You say it twice
You know I like a little competition from time to time
You think I'm wrong when I know I'm right
You lose this ain't no kinda competition
I like a man with ambition
But when you gonna know it's time to let go?
'Cause I think I'm about to lose my mind.” We finished.

~Jaylin’s P.O.V.~

I stood in the front row, watching, not my best friend’s sister, but my best friend. I can’t believe she didn’t tell me!
