Tension lay over the whole flat whilst Harry was gone, but no one was more nervous and scared than me. After I had finished cleaning up the kitchen to an okay standard I left it at that, most of the kitchen items ending up in the washing machine, so I actually couldn't start organising the cupboards yet (not properly anyway).
I sat in the lounge, my arms crossed staring at the floor. No one else was in here, they'd stayed in the other room and I wondered whether they were leaving me to be alone to myself, which was quite thoughtful i thought. Although that idea was soon proved wrong as Louis walked into the room.
"You okay?" he asked, leaning on the back of the sofa I was sitting on.
I looked over my shoulder at him, nodded then looked away again, biting my lip. Louis jumped over the back of the sofa landing beside me.
"You sure?" he asked and I looked at him. My brother was possibly being beaten up by my dad just because he'd gone to get my things.
He looked back at me then continued "I guess that's a pretty stupid question right now."
I nodded, but decided he was only trying to be nice and tried to smile, but failed at it.
"You really are pretty you know" he told me in a undertone after a few seconds of silence.
I blushed at this, not looking at him as I mumbled "thanks."
"And you look a hell of a lot like Harry" he added.
"I always thought I looked more like dad, and Harry looked like mum" I replied, shrugging, "but maybe we do look similar."
Louis nodded then said "yeah, you do."
I half smiled back, as we fell into silence again. I then turned to look round at Louis thinking something. Maybe there was a reason Liam was so moody, and maybe Louis would know being his friend.
He caught me looking at him and I decided not to ask, looking away, blushing from the intense stare he gave me in the eyes.
"Like what you see?" he asked amused.
I shook my head and replied back in mock disgust "nope."
"Aww your words hurt" he whined sounding pathetic, but I knew he was only joking.
"Sorry" I replied giving him a smile.
Louis sighed, then pretended to look still offended as he exclaimed "I'm wounded, I'll never be the same again. My heart is broken." He clutched his chest where his heart was, pulling a mournful face. I could see he was about to laugh.
I laughed at the look on his face, and soon enough he dropped the act and laughed to.
"You really do know how to cheer someone up" I told him, having stopped laughing but still feeling all warm and amused inside.
"It's my area" he replied looking proud, before winking at me with an extra cheeky grin.
I just rolled my eyes and asked "is there a problem with your eye or something? You keep winking."
"Ah no love, my eye's fine. It's just I can't help winking at you, it's irresistible" he explained to me cockily as he winked again.
"And against the rules" I told him.
"Ahh, so Harry did tell you about them" he replied leaning forward slightly.
I nodded. "Yeah, he did."
"And what do you think?" he asked.
I shrugged. "I don't know really."
"Do you think it's unfair?" he asked, and I suddenly felt as though he was interrogating me.
I shrugged again. I didn't think it was really unfair, Harry was only trying to protect me I suppose.
"Can I kiss you?" he asked so suddenly and so casually it caught me off guard.
"W-what?" I asked my voice stuttering as I stared at him shocked.
"You can slap me if you want" he told me next and I stared more wide eyed at him.
"Why would I do that?" I asked.
"'Cause I just asked whether I could kiss you" he replied.
"Yeah I know" I told him, then edged away from him on the sofa feeling particularly wary that he was getting closer and closer to me. He just slid my way again though.
"Problem?" he asked raising one eye-brow.
"Er, yeah" I replied hesitating before saying "don't kiss me."
Louis suddenly laughed, then sat back more casually sliding away a little. "I was only messing with you" he said and he gave me a cheeky grin.
I seemed to relax a little, returning a smile. He smiled back then before he could say what he was going to say Zayn walked into the room saying "what's up?"
I looked at him as he looked at us and he raised one eyebrow. "What you doing Louis?" he asked and he sounded wary.
"Just kissing her" he joked, and Zayn suddenly looked super serious.
"He's joking" I quickly told him before he could say anything.
Zayn nodded still eyeing us a little curiously. Niall then came next into the room with an apple with a bite in it. "Who's kissing who?" he asked looking annoyed but curious.
"No one Niall" I assured him, glaring at Louis for saying such lies and then smiling at Niall.
He smiled back as he commented "good." He then sat down, still looking at me as he took another bite of his apple. I watched him, then told myself to look away but I couldn't. He was just so adorable... NO! Stop thinking that, I instructed myself, quickly looking away.
An awkward silence was spread over the room, I couldn't bare to look at any of them any more. I could feel them looking at me though, their eyes seeming to burn holes in me. I couldn't take the silence any more, I looked up and asked "what?" as they all stared at me, with slight concerned looking expressions.
"Your crying" Niall told me softly and I quickly lifted my hand, feeling tears on my cheeks.
"I didn't even know" I told them in a mutter as I wiped them away hastily.
"Are you okay?" asked Louis.
"Yes." I don't know why I snapped at him like that, it just sort of happened. He looked surprised at my tone of voice and I couldn't help next saying a little sarcasticly, feeling angry "yeah, I'm brilliant, having an absolutely smashing time."
Louis looked apologetic as he said to me "a stupid question again, I guess?"
I nodded, and got up, I needed to walk around, I couldn't just sit still. I paced the room, feeling very annoyed that they kept on watching me, didn't they have songs to be writing and guitars to be playing rather than staring at me.
"Stop it!" I snapped.
"Stop what?" asked Liam's voice and that's when I realised he was standing in the doorway.
I stopped walking, staring at him my breath catching in my throat.
"Stop what?" he asked again, leaning against the door frame "what they doing?"
I looked back at them. "Nothing" I answered, then turned unable to keep my feet from fidgeting about.
They continued to watch me, and I continued to walk around feeling annoyed. I felt like I really wanted to punch someone right now. I don't know exactly why but I just felt like It.
"Can I punch someone?" I asked, bitterly and then turned to look out across the room at them all.
They were looking astonished at my sudden question, and then Louis laughed, but it wasn't a proper amusement laugh it was sort of nervous and curious. I then laughed myself.
"Sorry" I apologized, looking at my feet.
"It's okay." It was Niall who answered.
"I just..." I tried to explain, but I couldn't really explain it, even to myself. I was just fidgety, worried and annoyed at all their stares. I trailed off, then sat down in one of the windows looking down at my swinging feet.
"Harry should be back by now" I said my thought aloud, biting my lip nervously.
"He will be back soon" Liam replied to me, and I looked up at him standing in the doorway.
"How do you know?" I asked him, feeling tears welling up in my eyes, "what if he's hurt?"
None of them replied to that. But then I heard a slamming of a door, and I jumped up running towards the hall nearly tripping over my self and nearly directly into Liam.
"Harry!" I yelled rushing into the hall. The door was open and Harry was walking in backwards pulling two suitcases.
I ran up behind him hugging him.
"Woah, woah, woah!" he said chuckling to himself dropping the ends of my suitcases. "You have so much stuff" he then complained, as he turned.
I smiled up at him. He didn't look hurt so that was a good sign. "Was dad there?" I asked seriously.
"Nope" he replied shaking his head "he was out."
"So why did it take so long?" I questioned not resisting the urge to hug him again.
"Well the lift was broken so I had to drag this." He gestured to the dropped suitcases, "up all those stairs."
I laughed, and pulled a fake guilty face. "Sorry" I apologized.
He rolled his eyes, then I let go of him so he could shut the door. I picked up one of the suitcases and pulled it. "God, what did you put in there?" I asked. It was so heavy.
"Everything that I thought was yours" he replied, as he took the other suitcase.
"Anyway where am I actually going to put all this stuff?" I questioned, as I struggled with dragging it along the hall.
"In your room" Harry explained.
"What room?" I asked, looking at him curiously.
"Your new room." He nodded to the stairs, "up there".
"Oh" I replied, as finally I got the suitcase to the bottom of the stairs. "I can't carry it up the stairs" I commented, stretching my arm which hurt from just carrying it a few meters.
"I'll help" said Niall's Irish voice as he came through from the kitchen.
"You sure?" I asked.
He nodded, and picked it up. "Or maybe not" he said as he put it back down, "what is in there?"
"That's what I'd like to see" I said, looking at Harry who was beginning to carry the other suitcase up the stairs.
"It's probably all those books I put in there" he commented, giving me a look as though to say 'little book-worn alert.'
"Ah" I said blushing slightly. I did have a lot of books, especially if you counted the big box full in the wardrobe. "You didn't pack the ones in the wardrobe did you?"
"Yes" he replied, giving me a curious look, "why?"
"Oh, it's just they aren't exactly mine" I explained, as he stopped on the stairs to look down at me.
"Who's are they?" he asked.
I mouthed "Jason's" at him and he nodded understanding. "I don't want them anymore."
"You can throw them out the window then" he said back, giving me a look that only I would understand.
"Yeah, I'd love to do that" I replied.
"Okay" said Niall's voice chipping in "I'm missing out on something here."
I giggled looking round. "It's nothing important" I told him, as he smiled at me.
"Okay." He then pointed to the suitcase. "Liam can probably carry that, I'll go and get him." Then he went back through to the kitchen. I watched him go and then looked back up the stairs, which Harry had gone even further up out of sight as it went round to the right.
I sighed, sitting down on the bottom step looking at the suitcase. I'd hate to see what unwanted things Harry had packed, and for that matter how he'd packed it. Knowing him all my clothes would be screwed up I'm sure, and everything spread about. I'd definitely have to sort it all out.
Liam soon came, followed by Niall, Louis and Zayn. "It's not a spectators sport" I commented jokingly, and all of them laughed at that apart from Liam, who was already picking up the suitcase.
"Ladies first" he said dully nodding at the stairs.
"Thanks" I replied, then quickly started stepping up them.
I looked back over my shoulder. They were all following me, Liam behind me pulling my suitcase like it was weightless, making me feel like an utter wimp. But he is a boy I suppose and they usually are stronger, and plus I literally am a total weakling.
"Nice arse" commented Louis' voice and I nearly fell down the stairs.
"E-excuse me?" I asked, spluttering as I looked back at him as he laughed.
"Oh nothing" he replied, but I knew what he'd said anyway. If Harry heard that I'm sure he wouldn't be too happy.
"Right" I said shaking my head and carrying on up the stairs trying to stop myself from feeling so self conscious.
When I got to the top of the stairs it was to find a corridor with two doors on the right, three on the left and one at the end. Harry was standing in the door way of the third one on the right.
"About time" he joked, as I stood looking round.
"You have a two floor flat" I said.
He nodded and said back in a voice as though I was an idiot "yes, well done."
"You must be rich" I commented, as I then began to walk towards him.
"Yep, just a little" he replied, with a smile.
I stopped when I got to the doorway, trying to look round him. "Can I see my room?" I asked a little urgently, as he purposely got in the way.
"Nope" he replied.
I raised my eyebrows and asked "do you want me to try my rugby tackling out again?"
He shook his head, chuckled and got out of the way. I walked into the room, and stared.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked, putting his arm round me his chin resting on my head. "Don't you like it?"
I shook my head. "No it's not that. It's just..." I started, my voice trailing off.
"Just what?" he asked more pressingly.
"Do you really want me here?" I asked
"Of course I do" he replied softly kissing the top of my head.
I giggled then said "good."
The room was large, painted black and white, had a big double bed, a balcony of to the left with big sliding doors and a door going off from the right hand corner which no doubt led to the bathroom. There was a massive wardrobe, a chest or draws, and as I looked around I thought in comparison to my room back home it was at least three times bigger.
I stepped out of his arms, shoving the suitcase on my bed as the other boys came in with the other one. Liam put it on the bed next to the first one as I thanked him. I didn't know whether he heard or not but he was definitely making a point of not looking at me.
I sighed then told them "now I have to unpack it all" pulling a sad face.
"Ha ha" Harry mock laughed saying "it's your stuff."
"I know" I said, unzipping the first and flipping the lid open open. I was on the point of screaming as I stared into the suitcase, but instead the word got caught in my throat my mouth opening wide.
"What-have-you-done?" I asked saying each word slowly as I stared with horror at the jumbled content.
"Er" was all Harry said in reply as I turned on him.
"Woah, kitty's a bit angry" Louis cooed and I shot him a death glare. He chuckled. "That's quite scary actually."
Harry was looking innocent as he backed slightly away. "Sorry, I don't have OCD" Is what he told me next.
I fixed him with an evil glare and snapped "for the last time I do not have OCD."
"Well I'm just not as organised as you" he told me, as I came closer and closer. "Please don't kill me."
"Oh no, I'm not going to kill you" I told him, smirking at his pathetic looking face.
"Then what are you going to do?" he questioned sceptically.
I smiled, but not sweetly, before yelling "rugby tackle" and jumping on top of him. He yelled as we fell to the floor, and I laughed. I was hitting him everywhere I could reach, as he yelled trying to get me off him as we rolled around on the floor.
"Ah god, she's going to be fun to have around" I heard Louis saying sniggering. I looked up at him and then quickly pulled on his leg and he came tumbling down to not aware that I was about to do that.
He shouted, falling on top of Harry, and I finally pulling myself from Harry's grip stood up, stepping back from their fight and straightening my shirt.
The others were laughing hard and for once Liam was actually smiling as he watched them from the door. When he caught me looking, he abruptly stopped looking away quickly from my gaze. What is wrong with him?
"I-hate-you-Annie" I heard Harry shout, but it was sort of coming out muffled as the boys, carried don fighting on the floor.
"Serves you right for packing so badly" I told him, smiling as he shot me a look which could kill.
"What have I done?" asked Louis as he whacked Harry in the arm.
"Nothing" I replied "you were just looking too smug."
He laughed, and finally Harry succeeded in rolling away from him hauling himself to his feet. Louis was still on the floor laughing so hard he couldn't get up.
"Boys are pathetic" I commented turning to the suitcase to sort everything out.
"Well girls are devils" replied Harry who was rubbing his head which had inadvertently somehow managed to be bonked on the black carpeted floor.
I giggled. "Yeah. I really am I devil aren't I? Do I look like one?"
Harry laughed too then smirked at me. "To be honest I've always thought of you as more of a bunny rabbit. Do you remember-" Harry never finished his sentence because I'd already made a run at him, and achieved another expert rugby tackle on him.
