59. White Noise and Incomprehensible Sounds
"Ah fuck, you caught me out." she laughed, nervously. I knew I shouldn't be here, but I needed to see her. Months on end of my heart shattering every time I heard her name. On music channels, on the radio. Goddamn everywhere, it was like she was teasing me, taunting me. And now she's here, stood in front of me. I'm speechless. The woman I love is stood in front of me and I can't say anything. Why? The only explanation is her. All my life, I've been waiting for her. Ever since the day we first met.
"So, are you going to tell me why you're here?" she smiled, a simple but loving smile.
"You're the reason I'm here. I need you, Katy. My life isn't complete without you, I want to grow old with you. Fuck, I need you back in my life. Please?" She looked behind her, he's waiting.
"Andy, wait on the bus. I'll be a while." And so he left. It's only us now, anything could happen. "Look, I need you too. But this isn't the right place or time. My life is now on track, I'm starting to get a career back and I have friends who care for me, allowing you back into my life would be like getting addicted to cocaine or something. I get it, you can't leave here empty handed. I guarantee you, the other boys will have a bet on to see if you can 'get with' me again. So, you're going to get what you came here for. An answer." she took a deep breath, I just smiled and nodded, waiting for her to continue.
"I left to get some peace of mind, but letting you back into my life will cause my brain havoc."
"But, I love you Katy."
"I love you too."
