6. Chapter four.
I clicked 'send' on my status update. I immediately got multiple replies. "Kyle Horan: Who are you staying with?" "Brittany Tompson: Lucky . Text me pictured gurl .. (;" and so on. So, I replied "I'm staying with my Aunt Maria." I pushed the home button on my iPhone and was greeted by a picture of me and Brittany at homecoming. I heard someone walk through the house door. About 5 minutes later, my mom was standing in my door frame, grinning. "Well well well. What are you still doing up? You've got a big day tomorrow." My mom asked still grinning. She walked out of my room. I clicked the lock button in my phone and was surprised to see what was on my screen. It was 11:53! I spend 9 hours on Facebook. Wow.
When I woke up, I was greeted by a lovely text from my mom. "Good morning sweetum. I'm so sorry I couldn't say good bye but I had to work early today. Susan called in sick and j has to take her spot. Well, good bye. Don't forget your flight leaves at noon. You'll need to be up there at 11:45 in order to make it through the gates in time. I love you! Kyle will be taking you to the Airport. Well, bye honey!!" Awe. I checked the time. The numbers 8:47 danced on the screen in front of me.
I stood up slowly, and headed straight for my shower. After I got out, I blow dried my hair and curled it afterwards. I then walked out to my bean bag chair and picked up the outfit I had laid down to wear yesterday. It was a t-shirt that said "The Walking Dead <3" and a pair of light skinny jeans with holes all down the front. I then did some lat minute packing. I shoved my flat iron, curler, and my hair brush into my suitcase. I decided I was not going to wear makeup since it was buried in my suitcase. I walked downstairs at 10:35 exactly. Kyle was eating some microwaveable bacon. Wow, he's such a good cook. Lol. I put some waffles into the toaster and waited for them to come back out. I spread some butter on each waffle, then coated them in delicious maple syrup. By the time I ate, it was 10:45 and we lived about 45 minutes away from the airport. So, me and Kyle hopped in to his car and left home.
