Waking up sweating and swearing isn't exactly the best way to start the day but neither is a pounding headache as a result of a long night out. I groaned in pain, burying my face in my pillow, the room too bright for my liking. "Fu-" My phone started ringing. I groped around for it, blindly, disappointed to discover that it wasn't on the bed.
I wriggled painstakingly slow off the bed, relieved to find it not too far from the bed. "Speak," I commanded, disregarding pleasantries.
"Good afternoon," Harry chirped, my ears ringing. I cursed him, jokingly.
"Mate, I like you, but I don't fancy you THAT much," he laughed, brushing off my swearing at him.
"What do you want?"
"I want you to know that Jamie and I aren't dating."
I rubbed my forehead and sighed. "It's alright. You don't have to ask my permission."
"I know that. I just wanted you to know that I'd never do that even if I wanted to. And I know you want her to be happy even if she's not with you. I just...wanted to know that."
"Thanks, Curly. You're a good mate."
"Cheers. Also, I need you to pick her up."
"We were having lunch and I got a call from one of my mates to go and hang out. She's gone to the loo now, I'll tell her when she comes back. So you up for it?"
"Uh, are you sure it's alright with her?"
"Why not? You could show her around some more, bring her to see Quinn and Darcy and even that lad-what's his name? Jim?"
"James?" I corrected.
"Yeah. Maybe it'd help her remember."
I slowly made my way to the toilet, leaning on the walls for support, undressing at a snail pace, so I wouldn't topple over.
I pursed my lips, deliberating mentally.
"So you'll come then?"
"Right then. I'll wait here with Preston-", one of our bodyguards,"until you arrive. We're at..."
As I wrote down the address of where they were on a loose piece of paper, knowing that I'd forget it if I used my mental power, I turned on the tap that gave out cold water in the shower, hoping that it'd make my headache go away and make me feel better, although, getting to meet Jamie had already done that.
