"Oof," I groaned,my palm on my forehead.
"You alright?" Niall yawned, rubbing his eyes and squinting at me,his eyes adjusting to the brightness.
"Yep. Just stood up too fast," I clarified, bending down to pick up my knickers, holding the unzipped jacket with one hand so it wouldn't reveal my bare chest.
"And you got out of bed too fast. Come back in,it's warm and cosy!" he beckoned, patting the empty space beside him.
It was a tempting offer but,"if I do, I probably won't want to get up for the rest of the day."
He winked. "That's alright with me if you've got the stamina."
"The question is, do YOU?"
"Oh you have little comprehension of my talents," he laughed.
I raised an eyebrow, skeptical but curious. I shook my head to clear my head of thoughts-that-needed-to-be-not-thought-of. "I'm taking a shower."
He chuckled. "I shampoo, you condition?"
I placed a finger on my chin as if I was seriously considering it. I rolled my eyes.
"Well, come on then! I'm getting cold with my bare legs out."
Showering took much longer than expected - we spent a lot of time playing. Innocently. With water-splashing and bubbles. Some soap when up Niall's nose when he tried to blow bubbles through his nostrils - that was hilarious .
"Lunch?" Niall asked as he dried his hair with a towel, his lower abdomen wrapped in another towel.
I was almost done with getting dressed except for combing my hair. "Yep. Nando's?"
He studied my face.
"What?" I touched my face, checking if I had any toothpaste near my mouth or chin.
"Because it has good chicken."
"Is everything alright?" I approached him and wrapped my arms loosely around his lower body, looking up at him. He bent his head down to kiss me gently. I peered down at his towel and then at the messy bed. "You know, is that offer about the bed still on?"
He chuckled, his breaths tickling my lips as he kissed me again. "Maybe later," he suggested.
I frowned. "Was I not good?"
"That's for me to know and you to find out. I'm hungry," he replied, walking out of my arms to put on his clothes.
"You suck," I mumbled.
"Nothing," I answered sweetly.
"Oh." He raised his eyebrows at me and shrugged, pulling on his shirt before fixing his hair. "How long you staying?"
I bit my lower lip, knowing that he was referring to how long I intended to stay in the UK before going back to Florida. I shrugged, forgetting that Niall probably couldn't see me since he was facing the other way. "Not sure, haven't decided yet."
He cleared his throat and pointed to his closet with a comb in his hand that he was using to style his hair. "Well, if ya want, you could put your clothes in there. Or you can have the closet in the other room," he offered.
"Yep," he brushed it off lightly. "Okay, I'm good to go! Drive or walk?"
"Walk. Let's get some fresh air."
"Hang on." He jogged over to his closet and grab a hat which he pulled securely over his head, almost but not completely hiding his blonde hair.
"What's that for? Your hair looks fine," I assured him, assuming he thought he was having a bad hair day.
He laughed light-heartedly and slung his arm around my shoulders, closing the space between us. "It's a disguise."
"Popstars," I sighed, rolling my eyes exaggeratedly.
He was about to say something, probably something sassy when his phone rung. "Yeah?" he answered, lifting his hat to scratch his head and putting it back on.
"Yeah we were just about to head out and grab some Nando's."
Louis was either shouting into the phone or talking very loudly because I could hear some of what he was saying to Niall. I think he just invited us over.
"Carrots and fish and chips isn't exactly the same as Nando's," Niall teased. I scrunched my nose thinking of how carrots and fish and chips didn't go together. "Hold on." He holds the phone out to me. "He wants to talk to you."
I took the phone from his hand and held it to my ear. Meanwhile, Niall shifted to stand behind me and rest his chin on the top of my head, his arms wrapped around my chest.
"Jamie!" a cheerful voice greeted zealously. "It's your favourite member of One Direction, Louis!" he announced, making me grin.
"Hello Jamie. Would you like to come over for some lunch?"
"Well, Niall and I were planning on getting some Nando's."
"So I've heard. But eating at a friend's is much better than eating at a restaurant, don't you think?"
I hesitated and thought about it.
"It's cheaper," he listed. "The food will be ready by the time you get here."
"Are you cooking it?"
The other line went silent. "No," he replied after some time. "I bought the fish and chips as take-away and I bought the carrots from Tesco."
"You'll still come though, won't you?" he pleaded. "Pretty please? With some hundreds and thousands on top?"
"Rainbow sprinkles," he clarified. "As the non-English know it by."
"Ah I see."
"See, I'm a good friend aren't I? Which is why you should come over with Niall," he practically begged.
"Alright. I'm up for it."
"Yes!" he yelled victoriously. "I'll see you soon!" he chirped before the line disconnected.
"Looks like I won't be needing this anymore," Niall realised, chucking his hat into his closet, not bothering to put it back in its place.
"Louis sounds fun."
"When he isn't trying to annoy you," Niall added, leading us out the front door and locking it behind us.
He opened the passenger seat for me but pulled me close to his body before I sat and gazed deep into my eyes. He kissed me gently on the lips, but it was enough to make me feel dizzy.
He let me go abruptly and grinned before he ran over to his side and hopped in, waiting for me to do the same.
"What was that for?" I asked, dazed but pleasantly surprised.
He turned on the engine and shifted the gear stick into drive.
"I just like kissing you, that's all," he replied casually.
"I like kissing you too," I answered.
"We can do a lot more kissing when we get back," he suggested cheekily, winking.
"I'm looking forward to it."
He smiled wider, showing his teeth and leaned over to kiss me before putting on his seat belt and driving off.
We talked about random things on the way there - it wasn't long. I found out that he was a big fan of Michael Buble and Bon Jovi and I told him that I liked their music too which made him grin. I also found out that he didn't like Marmite - some type of spread that is common in Australia. From the way he talked about it, it sounded disgusting but I thought that if it was being sold, it must be delicious to some people. I hadn't tried it so my opinion wasn't substantiated.
"We're here," he told me, killing off the engine. "I'm starving," he groaned, eager to get out of the car. I was too and opened the passenger door by myself and hopped out. I think I was getting used to the weather here in London - it didn't feel as cold as it did before.
I heard Niall hop around the car to stand beside me and show me the way.
"Louis can be a bit of a handful so, just keep that in mind," Niall warned.
"I remember him from the few times we met. He seemed fine and normal enough."
"Yeah, wait until you get to know him better. Although he seems to have matured a little now. Or at least looks a little more mature now."
We reached the doorstep and rang the doorbell. Within seconds, the door swung open, revealing a starry-eyed man with messy hair.
"Niall!" he greeted, hugging Niall tightly. "Jamie!" he wrapped his arms around me tightly. "Come, come on in! C'mon,c'mon," he hurried, very excited to have us over.
He moved so that we could walk in. "Welcome! he greeted.
We took a few steps in and I had to say, his place did look really nice. The first thing I smelt was the fish and chips which made my stomach rumble. I could hear Niall's stomach begging to be fed.
Niall turned around to say something to Louis when out of nowhere, something soft landed on Niall's face, some of it getting onto me. It had slid to the floor, a mess of purple gelatinous substance. Was that jelly?
I looked up to Niall and saw his face had bits of it hanging .
I burst out laughing hysterically, having to bend down, clutching my stomach.
That was when I got hit on my bum, making me stand up straight immediately, shocked. I turned around slowly and stared at the pink jelly on the floor near my feet. Louis stared at me and held both hands up,his palms facing me,his eyes widened. I could see the remnants of the pink jelly in his right hand.
I slowly bent down to pick what was left of the jelly. And then I threw it into his face.
