"We need to go back to bed." Harry stood up
"Harry, please stay here." I pleaded with him
"I don't know, Hermione." He rubbed the back of his neck, "I want to be alone."
"No, I mean with me. I do not want the nightmares to come back. You might protect me from them." I replied honestly
"You do not need me." Harry started to walk out the door
"Yes, Harry, I do. We are in this together, remember? Together." My eyes glistened with tears at his planned leave
"Okay, fine." Harry gave in
"Thank you." I said as he climbed in next to me
I curled up against his chest. He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. I snuggled into him. I closed my eyes. Harry closed his and soon, we both were fast asleep. I slept without a single dream.
She said she needed me. I was amazed, I had never known Hermione to admit any weakness, she did not show any either. I watched her sleeping figure. Her bushy hair tumbled down her back. She had not gotten it cut in a while so it had grown longer. I gently stroked her hair, soon regretting my harsh words earlier. I understood why Ron had loved her. She was beautiful and strong. She was a great friend and stood up to those who hurt her or her friends. She was kind, sometimes even to those who did not deserve it.
Her eyelids fluttered and I closed mine, so she thought I was asleep. I opened mine again and hers were still closed. I smiled and kissed her forehead. I checked my watch, it was almost eight o'clock. I slid out from under the covers slowly, so I would not wake her up.
I left her room and took a shower. I got dressed and headed out the door. As far as I knew she was still asleep. I slipped out the door quietly and went to get her her car. I decided to go get some breakfast rather than go back in the house without getting her car.
Hey, so sorry about the short chapter, but I didn't know what else to put. Some of it I didn't even really want to put in there. Sorry. Keep waiting for the next chapter.
