"Morning!" Liam shook my shoulders to wake me up.
"Liam! It's 7 in the morning!! Why do we have to get up now?"
"Because I have a surprise for you."
I looked up at Liam with confusion.
"We're moving." He smirked as the words came out of his mouth.
"No. No way! We have a beautiful home, steady jobs, Taylor, and my parents! Why on Earth would we move?!" I got up and walked to the bathroom.
"Maybe because I already sold our house and bought one here...."
"WHAT?!" I got in Liam's face for dramatic effect. "There's a lot of things wrong with this. First, you woke me up before the sun. Then, you drop a huge bomb on me and expect me to be fine with it?! What's wrong with you?"
"I'm scared! Okay?" Liam put his head in his hand and sat on the bed. "Harry....he's never gonna leave you alone. He's madly in love with you...can you blame him? But you're mine. That's never gonna change, no matter what. And don't think for a second that I didn't think this through. It was actually your mum and dad that helped me find a house. They're all for it."
"Wait- you told them about Harry?"
"Had to. But it's for our own good."
"I- I can't do this right now.....I'll go get us breakfast, and then come back up. I just need a second." I put my clothes on and took the elevator down to the lobby. They had a beautiful breakfast set up, with any food you could imagine. I walked over to the start of the line and grabbed 2 trays. Taylor usually just picks off of me and Liam's plates.
"Excuse me, can you pass me a tray?" The lady behind me tapped on my shoulder.
"Oh um, sure thing." I grabbed one and handed it to her.
"Thanks, dear. My teenage son was too lazy to get his own....you know how they are at his age." She laughed and pointed to a boy sitting at a table a few feet away. But it wasn't just a boy....once again, Harry has somehow made his return.
He noticed me staring at him and winked. I quickly looked away, but he approached me anyway.
"Hello. How've you been?" His smirk was slowly killing me, but I tried to keep it together.
"Fine, thanks. Why are you here? How are you here? Is that woman really your mom?"
Lots of questions, little time. I flew here. Mum bailed me out and wanted quality time with me. I knew you were coming here so I suggested this place. Pretty nice." He winked. "Where's your man?"
"I don't think that's your concern, but thanks for asking. Him and our child are upstairs getting ready for our exciting family day. Family. That's what we are." I turned away and grabbed a muffin.
Harry grabbed my chin and turned me toward him. "Be honest with yourself. Liam does many things you don't like, has a short temper, and just isn't right for you. You know you fancy me, just admit it."
I stared at him for a second. "No."
"No?!" Harry dropped his hand and sighed. "Guess I'll just have to admit it then." Harry reached in my back pocket and pulled out my room key.
"Harry!!! What do you think you're doing?!" I dropped the trays and chased after him to the elevator. Right as I was about to get in, he closed the door. I called Liam. "Liam? Hey it's me. Don't answer the door, no matter what."
"Huh? Nikki you aren't making any sense. Just tell me when you get back to the room. Bye."
I turned my phone off and darted for the stairs. I ran as fast as I could. When I finally got to our floor, I could barely walk and was out of breath. I saw Harry down the hall putting the card in the door. "Harry!!! Please don't!"
He turned around and started walking toward me. "We'll do it together then."
"Why are you doing this? You're gonna ruin everything. If you loved me at all you'd stop and just leave us alone."
"Well....that's not how I see it at all." Harry grabbed me and forcefully kissed me.
"Harry!" I grabbed the room card from him and sped to the door. I swung it open and shut it quickly behind me.
"Nikki?" Liam called from the other room. He ran toward me with a worried look on his face. "What's wrong? Where's the breakfast?"
I took a deep breath. "Liam, I'm not gonna lie to you. Harry....he's here. He's outside the door and he just kissed me. He threatened to tell you I love him and-"
"Well do you?"
"What? Liam you know me, you know I love you. I would never go back to him."
Liam pushed me away from the door and swung it open. Harry was standing right there with a guilty look on his face.
Liam got so close to Harry, he could feel his breath. "Why are you here?"
"Mum and I are taking a trip." Harry didn't even flinch as he spoke.
Liam raised his fist, held it there, and then released it. "Stay away."
Harry shook his head and laughed. "Sorry. Can't do. I'm in love with her. She's the only reason I'm still here. I deserve to be with her. And guess what? She deserves me too! You're horrible to her, and she knows it! You do things without even considering how she may feel! She's your doormat! So give up, and just let her go."
Liam looked at me with tears in his eyes. "Is it true?"
I didn't move. I didn't know what to do. If I say I love Harry, I'd be a horrible person. But if I say I love Liam, Harry might be gone from me forever, and I couldn't live like that. "I- I'm choosing myself. That's right. I'm taking Taylor. I'm buying our house in New York back. And I'm never seeing either one of you again." I grabbed my stuff, Taylor, and walked out the door.
"NIKKI!!" Liam ran after me. "I have rights! You can't take Taylor from me, it's against the law."
"You don't want her Liam! I know you love her, but you have a life. You're a party animal, you have women lined up to be with you....why would you need a baby?"
Liam looked at the ground and sighed. "Fine. But please, all I ask of you is that you don't forget me. I realize I acted like an asshole, and I'm sorry. But I still love you, and always will."
"I'll meet up with you occasionally....so you can see Taylor. But this is good bye. Thank you for loving me, I loved you too. Bye Liam." I turned around and walked down to the lobby. I didn't expect this to ever end like this....I didn't expect it to end at all. But it always starts with Harry. That trouble-making, floppy haired, rude, handsome, loving, freak started it all. And I can only thank him for it.
