33. Chapter Thirty-Two

We stopped on a bridge standing above a river. I looked around to see cars and trucks parked around us. On the other side of the overpass was a group of people, believe it or not, grilling and listening to music.

"Ready?" I heard a girly voice scream. I looked in the direction that it came from. "Go!" She said. I watched as three girls jumped off the side of the bridge. I ran to the edge of the bridge to see the girls fall into the water. They rose to the surface and everyone yelled and whoop-ed. They looked up at me.

"Jump in!"

"The water's perfect!"

"You heard the girls," Justin shrugged. He pulled his shirt over his head and then he took his jeans off. "I was so uncomfortable with these over my trunks." He admitted.

"C'mon," Justin looked at me. After he registered that I was not going to strip down to my underwear, he began chanting, "Take it off! Take it off!"

People turned to see what he talking about. Soon, everyone was reciting it. They all gathered around closer.

"Take it off! Take it off! Take it off!"

"Don't look at me." I sighed and turned. I grabbed the hem of my shirt and pulled it over my head. I unbuttoned my jeans, but I hear the guys whistle behind me and yell and decided not to. I turned around and took my shoes off. "Happy?" I say, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Very," he walks over to me and circles me. "But there's one thing missing." He grins at me.

"These-" Justin digs his finger in between the band of my jeans and my hip on both sides. "Need to come off." He yanks them down quickly.

"Much better," Justin says.

I stand, mortified. Never have I ever been half naked in front of a group of people this big.

Correction: I've never been half naked in front of a group of people at all.

"TJ!" Justin says. "She's new here, obviously." Justin holds my arm up.

I guess that the guy that walks toward us with a group of friends is TJ.

"Ready?" A boy with wet brown hair and green eyes asks. "For what?" I say as I walk backwards. I hit the railing of the bridge.

"Are you scared?" Another one asks, but he has blond hair, blue eyes.

"For what?" I repeat.

"Don't be scared, Pidge." Justin appears. He grabs me from my waist and makes me turn around so that I'm facing the water.

"Just relax, and let us do what we need to do." Blondie spoke up.

"Just relax," Justin repeat. "They're not going to do anything bad."

I nod, but I'm really unsure.

I feel a hand wrap around my wrist and I flinch. He looks at me quizzically. "Sorry," I say and allow him to hold my wrist. I see that he has grey eyes and dirty blond hair.

Are all of these guys attractive?

"This'll be fun." He smiles at me. "I swear. If you don't like it at the end, I'll let you slap me." He winks at me.

I laugh a little. "You can thank me now, though, because I'm sure you'll like the experience."

"Sam!" TJ yells. "Quit flirting. We're about ready."

"I'm not flirting!" Sam says. "A couple of tips: go feet first, keep yours arms close, and when you're about to hit the water, breathe out through your nose; don't let the water affect your breathing. Oh, and, like I said, relax; you'll have more control over your body if you do. Have fun."

There was a hand on every one of my limbs.

"Let's do it," I hear them say.

At first, I'm hanging in the air with my limbs being pulled. I then feel two hands on my back. Justin smiles at me.

"One," I hear one say as they begin swinging me back and forth.

I thought my feet were going to hit the banister because I was so close. I swing backwards.

"Three!" With one last good push forward, I'm flying.

Well, sort of. I'm in the air.

The cool breeze hit my stomach first and then my face.

I freaked out at first but then the adrenaline began coursing through my veins. I kept my arms close and my feet pointing down.

I was able to enjoy the sensation for a few more seconds before I felt the water.

I managed to breath out through my nose quickly before I was completely submerged in the water.

I stay in the water for a second more, and then rise to the surface.

People, like before, are yelling and hollering.

I search for Justin in the crowd. I see him standing on the rail. He jumps letting out a loud scream. I watch him as he flips and then hit the water feet first.

People begin jumping in, one by one, but not too many. I swim closer to the shore so that I don't get hurt by anyone falling on me.

Suddenly, a hand snakes around my ankle and pulls me back into the water.

I let out a girly shriek.

"You scream like a girl," I see Sam beaming down at me.

"I am a girl, if you haven't noticed." I gesture my hands to my boobs.

He laughs an shakes his head. "Did you like it?" He asks. "It wasn't terrible." I say, drifting to the shore.

"Hey, Sam." Justin swims next to me, eyeing Sam. "Sup, J?" Sam looks at him.

"Not much." Justin answers curtly. He helps me climb onto a boulder on the edge and then sits next to me. Justin then proceeds to wrap his arm around my shoulders and kiss my hair.

He's never done this before to me. I look up at him to see if I can read his face and figure out what he's up to. He's pecks my lips and raises his brows.

"What are y-" I begin whispering but was interrupted.

"Oh my gosh! Justin? Are you... She's your... Oh my..." Sam couldn't finish a single question. He let out a good hearty laugh. "Okay, well, I'll leave you two alone."

We watched as he ran to his group of friends a few feet away from us.

"Guys! You're never gonna believe this!"

Justin shook his head. "Why did you do that?" I frowned.

"I have to talk to you about something." He sighs and removes his arm.

"Uh... Okay?" I said. But then I remembered that I was just in my bra and underwear. "Can that wait? I want to get a blanket or something."

I stood up an started walking back up the hill to the bridge.

"Actually, I'll tell you later. Let's go do it again!" Justin pulled me with him and we jumped.

We did the same over and over again until we got bored of it. We probably did it about seven times more.

We finally decided to go where they were all eating and drinking.

I noticed a person pouring shots and others taking them. "Do you want one?" Someone asked me.

I shook my head. Not today.

"Here's a towel." Justin handed me a white beach towel. "Are you hungry? Thirsty?"

I shook my head.

I watched Justin grab a shot off the cooler and down it in one gulp. Then another one.

"Sorry. I just really need to relax." He said shakily. "Shit," he said sitting next to me.

I giggled. Seeing Justin nervous seemed to be a rarity. He was usually confident or cocky.

A few feet away, Sam smiled at me. I smile back politely.

Justin looked at who I was smiling at and waved at him. "Let's go somewhere private..."

"Okay," I said quietly. We walked across the bridge and down a path that led to a patch of sand near the water.

"Jesus," He said. "Oh my fucking shit," he kicked a boulder. "Okay, I'm just going to say it. That's the only way. There's no way around it."

I ogled him as he paced the sand and spoke to himself.

"Farrah," he turned to me. "Nope, I can't do it." Justin spun around to look at the water again.

I was starting to get a little anxious. "Farrah," he stood gazing out to the river. "I love you." He slowly. My breath hitched.

I opened my mouth to say something but he started talking again before I could say anything.

"You get under my skin and annoy the hell out of me with you're stubborn, smart-ass ways, but I love it. I love when you're around me. I love hearing you laugh when I say a joke. I love knowing that I made you laugh, like I did something right." He came closer to me, grabbed my face in his hands and kissed me passionately.

"You've completely captivated me." Justin stared into my eyes, before looking away. "Ya know, when I was younger," Justin picked up a rock and threw it into the water. "My mother told me that I'd fall in love one day; she told me to not settle for just anyone. 'Choose the girl that doesn't come easy, the one you have to fight for, and then never stop fighting. Never.'

"I thought the whole 'falling in love' thing was bullshit, but I'm not sure that I think that anymore. It took me a while to figure it all out, but I'm one hundred percent sure that I'm right. Ever since I saw that first time at the football game wearing that cute pink sweater, I kind of knew. But I tried really hard to deny those feelings and get over you, but I couldn't. No matter hard I fucking tried, I couldn't. But I know it now. I love you."

I held his hand in mine.

"But you do have a decision to make. It's either me or... Collin."

I took a deep breath.

"Can I see your phone?" I asked. Justin gave me his phone suspiciously.

I dialed in a number that I could barely remember because of all the thoughts that were going through my head.

He finally picked up his phone.

"Hey, it's me."

"Farrah? Are you okay? What's wrong?" Collins voice was laced with worry.

"Hey, Collin." I said, nonchalantly.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Justin almost yelled. "After everything I just said, you're going to--" I held up my finger to shut him up.

"I don't think I can continue seeing you anymore." I finally said.

"What, why?"

"I just... I think I'm already in love with someone else." I smiled up at Justin.

"Is it Justin? He'll break your heart just like the others."

"Well, then I guess that's a risk I'm wiling to take."

"Farrah, sweetheart,"

"Bye, Collin."

I hung up abruptly.

"So," Justin rubbed the back of his neck. I jumped on Justin and wrapped myself around him. He put his hands under my thighs so that I wouldn't fall.

I cupped his face and kissed him... hard.

"So what now?" He mumbled.

"I think you should take me home." I smiled against his mouth.

"Okay," He pecked my lips and let me stand.

We were home in fifteen minutes tops.

"Thanks for tonight." I kissed Justin again holding onto his shirt.

"Anytime," He pulled away and tried to open my balcony door. "What the hell?"

The door didn't open.

"Why'd you lock the door?" I asked trying to open it again.

"It's a habit. Sorry. I'll just call Allie."

I sighed and nodded. I really didn't want Allie to find out about tonight, but I guess I couldn't really help it now.

A minute later Allie was opening my balcony door. "What were you doing out here?" She rubbed her eyes.

"Nothing. I'll tell you later." I said escorting Allie back into the hallway.

"I'll see you later." I pivoted back to see Justin but he was already gone and the door was closed, locked.

After all that time that I was up, I still couldn't find sleep. I was up thinking about Justin, and for once, I didn't hate that I was.
