11. Chapter Ten

"Rise and shine," Allie jumped onto my bed. "No,"  i said, covering my face with the covers. "Don't be such a loser, Farrah. You have to eat breakfast and then get ready for church." Allie said. I could feel her move on my bed. I knew she was hovering just above me.

"Okay, get it out." I pointed towards the door. She laughed, but the extra weight on the bed lifted and soon enough it was just me. I slowly got out of bed, and went to take a shower. The shower really woke me up, and I was ready to go for the rest of the day. I blow dried my hair then curled it after I put one of the dresses that Mrs. Carrasco bought for me when I first came here. I did my eyes, and they looked almost blue. My outfit was something like this:

(A/N idek why it came out such poor quality but you get the jiff of it :3)

After, I quickly cascaded down the stairs and into the kitchen. "Good morning, Farrah!" Diane quickly pecked my cheek. "Good morning." I smiled. I sat at the table, and Diane placed a plate of french toast in front of me. "Thank you."

"No problem." She shrugged. "How was your night?"

"Amazing," I said with a mouth full of my breakfast. I swallowed before I continued, "He's is so nice and cute." I spilled, "He took me out to this really nice Italian restaurant- I forgot the name."

                 "What's this boy's name?"

"His name is Collin. He is such a sweetheart." I sighed. She laughed, and on her way out she squeezed my shoulder. Allie came in shortly after I finished the plate of delicious french toast. "I heard you spill all that stuff to my mom." Allie laughed. I started to question as to why I had told her mom all of that. I normally never did that. I guess I just had to let somebody in on our date.

Allie ate her french toast, and we waited for her parents to come out of their bedroom.
"Mom! Dad! It's eight-fifty!" Allie informed them. They came scurrying out from their bedroom. "Sorry, honey, your father was having some difficulty with his tie. Let's get going." Jon looked the way my daddy did before he left us.

One by one, we climbed into Diane's Nissan. Allie and I sat in the backseat while her parents took the front seats. Diane's hand was settled on top of Jon's hand, their finger laced together, the entire way to the church. I couldn't help but to admire her ring. It was stunning. I loved looking at it. It reminded me of the good times back when I was just a child.

My mother and father seemed to have that relationship. I don't know what happened to them. They seemed perfect for each other. My mother always smiled when she looked at daddy. I just don't know how it all went down the drain.

The service seemed to take longer than it should've. After we went into a dining hall where they served a brunch. Allie and I didn't eat since we already did but her parents did. We talked with a few people from the choir while we waited. Allie talked to a few guys while I just stood by. She tried to get me to do the same, but I don't think I could exactly.

Sundays were usually our lazy day around the house so I knew that I wouldn't be doing anything today.

I then received a message from Collin.

is it too early 2 plan for another date?

                 I smiled, instantly.

                 I answered, nope :)

He messaged me back almost immediately. Cool. How about I take you out during lunch tomorrow and we go get lunch from somewhere else?

                 Sounds great!

Awesome. txt ya later, cutie ;P

I giggled to myself. I didn't reply, and I left the conversation at that.

He's so cute. I thought to myself. My life seemed to be turning around, finally. NO longer was I living[surviving] a nightmare, I was living a dream. This is what I have wanted for so long. A boy likes me, won't hurt me, and I am safe to live in my own home. I couldn't stop from smiling when I thought about this freedom.

"What are you all smiley about, girly?" Allie asked me when we were leaving.

"Nothing big; Collin just texted me." I shrugged, trying to play it cool. It was partly true. "Oh my gosh! Really?" She asked. "What did he want?"

"He wanted to know if it was too early to schedule our next date."

"well," Allie asked, impatiently, waiting for me to continue. "It's not. We're going out for lunch tomorrow." I informed her. "Oh really? What are you going to wear?"

"Whatever I wear to school?" I said. I didn't mean for it to come out as a question but it did, anyways."

"No, you have to look cute. You can't show up in jeans and one of your t-shirts." I groaned. I just decided not to argue with her and agree. I agreed to let her dress me up, but I was going to bring an extra outfit to school to change in after I got to school.

We arrived home at around noon. We all pretty much went our separate ways. I went to my room, Allie went into hers, and her parents just stayed in the living room. Right as I lied down on my bed, Allie screeched my name. "What?" I whined.

"Come with me," was all Allie said. I came out of my room. I didn't even get to change out of my dress. "C'mon!" She said from the bottom of the staircase. I could hear her say something to her parents. I reluctantly walked down the stairs and followed her into the car. "Where are we going?" I asked after five minutes of driving and loud radio music.

                 "Luke's," She said.

"What? I don't want to go! Why are you taking me?! "

"I hate driving alone," Allie answered me, unfazed by my defiance. I sat back in my seat hoping that my sulking would make her turn around. It didn't. My sulking never worked. Ughh.

When we got there I made sure to tell her that i wasn't going in there with her. She shrugged, and left. She had one hell of a poker face, but so did I. I couldn't tell what she was thinking. I needed to know what she was thinking about. After a while I got really bored. She took the keys with her so I couldn't even turn the radio on to play some music. I left my phone at home. Allie didn't give me enough time to grab it. Now I had nothing to do.

Then the craziest thing happens. My door opens up and I'm immediately blindfolded. I was, then, scooped up over their shoulder and whoever this was started walking. I started kicking and pounding on this guy's back. "Let me go!" I screamed, continuously. I was fighting for my life. My heart was beating a thousand times per second. This scenario brought back bad memories.

"Let me go!" I screamed one more time, kicking this guy's leg. "Dammit. Chill, Pidge." He finally let me go, and I fell flat on my ass. "Why did you act like you were about to kidnap me?! I was freaking out!" I asked as calmly as possible as I tried taking this blindfold off.

"It was Allie's idea." He shrugged, indifferently. He undid the knot of the blindfold, and it finally came off and landed in my lap.

I looked at Allie, and she smiled at me smugly. "Why?" I asked her. "How else was I supposed to get you out?" She questioned me. My eyes widened. She asked me like pretending to kidnap me was the best and only option.

"There are so many way, and you chose the one in which I would freak out?!"

"It was funny." Justin cut in. "Nobody asked your opinion." I hissed at him. He held his hands up in the air as if he were saying, "Okay, geez. I surrender." I wanted to say sorry, but I couldn't manage to get it out of my mouth.

"I was and still am wearing a dress, Allie!" I reminded her. I hoped that nothing was really shown. I did not need that.

I was pissed but when I saw Justin's lips turn up, my anger seemed to melt away. I smiled, too. But I quickly retaliated when I realized what Justin was grinning about.

                 Sicko... I thought.

"Want a beer?" Justin asked me. "No."

"She's just pissed because of what happened." Allie told Justin and Luke.

"Don't get your panties up in a twist, Pigeon. It was just a joke."

I wanted to tell him to shut up. I wanted to tell him that he didn't understand. I wanted to tell him that it wasn't just a joke for me. But I kept my mouth shut. They didn't need to know. I've told Allie a lot, but somethings are just left for secret.

"I thought you were going to call me Sweetheart?" I raised my brow. "Nah. I decided against it. After much deliberation, I decided on Pigeon. Sweetheart makes me sound like a pussy, and besides, Pigeon is easier to say." He shrugged. I left it at that. I wanted to tell him to not call me that.

After I was done being "grouchy" and a "stick in the mud" we all watched a movie on HBO. It was a chick flick that Allie and I chose. It seemed very interesting. It was about a man-whore who went around sleeping with a ton of women, but then one day he see's this lady and it's love at first sight for him. He ends up chasing after her and they end up falling in love. It was such a cliché, but it was cute.

Luke wasn't really watching it. He kept trying to watch a different movie. He kept suggesting that we do anything else but watch this movie. We all went against that- even Justin!

We finally left at around five, and the time spent there wasn't all bad. I talked to Justin, and he promised to help me with bio if I helped with any math he didn't understand. I would be seeing him every night, now. I didn't realize what I agreed to until after I agreed.

We talked a lot. We talked about how he played at the diner, and how I worked there. We even worked something out there, too. Allie would drive me there, and Justin would drive me back home. It seemed good enough for me.

                 Nothing is going to happen.

When I got home, Collin texted me. I smiled and answered.

                 Hey :)
