4. The Games
“Look what I found” I announced to Harry throwing my keys onto the counter and pointing at Niall, he kissed me before pulling his mate into a hug “Horan! I’ve missed you dude” he cracked a smile “The feeling’s mutual mate where the hell have you been?” his mate quizzed him but kept his eyes on me. “Caught up with this one, I mean can you blame me?” he wrapped his arm around my waist and placed his chin on my head as I blushed. “I defiantly can’t, she’s a keeper!” Niall replied looking me up and down my eyes remained on the floor ignoring the looks he was giving me. “Well I best get going, Zayn needs some advice about Perrie or whatever, so I’ll see you later, 6 yeh?” he smiled showing his newly straightened teeth, “No don’t go! Stay and watch the game! We need to catch up big time, I have snacks!” Harry backfired; I knew he missed his mates a lot when they weren’t around. “Aw fine, you twisted my arm when you bought the snacks into it” Niall pouted, smiling through it. “Thought I might, has Louis being feeding you properly?” Harry patted his friend’s stomach laughing before taking him into the living room.
Laughter filled the hallways, I smiled knowing Harry was happy, hanging my newly bought dress above the door of the kitchen I flicked on the kettle. Staring down at the floor I realised I was standing within a puddle of white powder “Harry! I could kill you! I told you to clean this up” I yelled out “I’ll do it later” was what was yelled back. The one thing I hated about living with Mr Styles was that I’m a total neat freak. Everything has to be in its place and if it wasn’t I’ll have a mental breakdown, Harry on the other hand is the complete opposite, he’s the sort of guy that doesn’t care if he’s left his clothes all over the bedroom floor, if he’s poured milk all over the sides and flour on the floor and it’s always ‘I’ll do it in a minute’ or ‘I promise I’ll put it away later’. It’s petty I know but seriously I want to kill him sometimes.
Ruffling through the cupboards I found some worktop wipes and began to wipe the flour of the sides. From the living room a voice shouted “Grab me one too” and a voice that was much closer shouted back “Sure” this voice came with an Irish accent though. “You can’t ignore me forever you know” The voice was quieter now but much closer. I continued to wipe down the sides when two arms were placed onto the worktop trapping me between them. Breathing in sharply I turned around to face Niall. “What?” I frowned noticing how close he was to me, “Okay, so we’re going to forget what happened in the car then?” he smirked again obviously remembering what happened. “I don’t know what you’re talking about Niall, so if you don’t mind I have stuff to do” I huffed crossing my arms looking at him with anger in my eyes before turning my back to him and setting back to what I was doing before he interrupted me. I heard a light laugh before he pushed himself closer against my body, placing his hands on my hips, his lips glided against my neck before he bought them up to my ear simply whispering “I know you felt it too.” Before I could respond he walked to the fridge taking out two sodas, laughing lightly, and returning to Harry.
Anger bubbled inside of me, how dare he assume that we had some sort of connection. What’s more how dare he do that to me – the girlfriend of his best mate. That was low. I know I probably didn’t help myself because I allowed him to do it but he should know better Harry would kill him with his bare hands if he ever found out. I’ve never seen this side of Niall before; I genuinely thought he was this sweet, funny lad. Not someone who was into playing games. The worst thing was I wasn’t 100% sure whether I didn’t like it.
