3. just ordinary Lana
Sun streamed through the window. She took a good look around her room looking at all the shelves upon shelves of books and textbooks neatly organized. She made her bed and walked to her closet. She felt lazy today so lazy she would look. She picked out a sweatshirt she got from a bamitzvah which was dark blue and then searched through her draws for leggings. For shoes she choose her white converse and left. She hopped down the steps and sat in the kitchen eating cereal . Lana was always lonely because she had no siblings and her parents were gone all the time working. So to entertain herself she was always reading.
In school Lana took her seat next to her friend Tiffany. Tiffany had blonde hair , ice blue eyes and a cold smile. Tiffany's boyfriend Austin was sitting on the otherside of Tiffany. Austin looked like Justin bieber but hotter . They were the power couple of the school everyone knew that. " what are you wearing?" Tiffany examed me head to toe. "I wanted to dress comfortably" I shrugged. Austin"s best friend victor stood in front of my desk gazing down upon me with his devilish grin. He was always up to no good. He was a skater boy with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. " what" I said flatly " you coming to my party tonight?" He teased. " no because the last time you had a party it got so out of control your neighbors called the cops and I almost got arrested. I had to run the whole way home." " but that"s the fun of it " he said smiling at me his grin showed his perfect white teeth. " you're going Lana " tiffany said " you never go anywhere !" "Fine but if its like last months party i will leave."
After class Lana walked into the hallway as crowds of kids streamed passed her. " hey bitch you were suppose to wait for me!" Tiffany stood one hand on her hip her eyes glittered with mischief. " where are your books?" Lana scanned Tiffany up and down wondering if she got skinner in the past few days. " austin 's holding my books for me ." She picked at her freshly painted manicure. "Austin 's been talking to his ex Amanda" tiffany's eyes turned dark. Lana quickly say this and said " its probably nothing she's no competition compared to you! " Lana compiled. She felt bad talking about Amanda that way. Amanda was really sweet . Way nicer than Tiffany. But saying those kind of things to tiffany made tiffany feel better. " But they have history" tiffany sighed. as on cue Austin walked by laughing holding Tiffany's books in one arm and linked in Amanda's arm in the other. Amanda threw her short Bob of red hair of curls back as she laughed at Austin's joke. Her hair brushed perfectly back just touching her thin shoulders. Her structure was quite boney. She had a thin frame compared to Tiffany. In her head many times compared Amanda and Tiffany but saw nothing similar, which always made her question Austin. Tiffany was more toned with fair skin while Amanda was on the pale with freckles side. Tiffany had long beautiful blonde waves with side bangs on the right , Amanda had short wavy red hair that hung just above the shoulders. Tiffany was on varsity cheer, Amanda was in drama club. Tiffany was was cold, manipulative, vindictive and Amanda was warm, friendly but two faced.
Tiffany's eyes turned to ice as she stared at them down the hallway and for a split second Amanda turned back at Tiffany and gave her a wicked smirk as if to say " who's in control now?"
