They finally hauled the guys body into the van and drove him back to Lana's house.
Once in Lana's basement , hunter tied his whole body to a wooden chair. They all agreed to take the guys mask off when the guy became concious again. Tiffany new their situation was bad but to her, her heart was beating thousands of beats per minute. This was such a thrill and adventure to her. It was the most exciting thing that ever happened to her . Tiffany replayed it in her mind, meeting a new gorgues boy, being chased in the middle of the woods out numbered by the enemy and then going on a thrilling chase after a mysterious guy.
Suddenly the figure groaned with pain. Everyone turned to him watching the figure's head twitch. The suddenly the figure's eyes shot wide open and started spa sing out trying to break free from the chair.
" there's no point in struggling " josh said as he stood in front of the guy. Hunter then wipped off the mask. Tiffany gasped at the figure underneath.
It was her ex boyfriend Austin.
Lana locked just as shocked too. This made no sense there was no way Austin fit into any of the clues the group was finding.
"Austin why were you in my house" Lana said sternly glaring at Austin.
But Austin just sat there his head faceting straight not saying anything.
"Austin tell us now!" Tiffany's voice was almost to a scream.
Austin just looked ahead.
"You better tell us why you're here now or I'm going to call the cops" Jason said as he got his phone out,
" my father is the richest man in town and my sister is a cop. I would just be bailed out again and I'll still come back" Austin sneered as he shut his mouth as if he knew he said to much.
"So if you're parents are rich why are you stealing?" Hunter said sternly.
Austin didn't say anything.
" he's not going to say anything" victor looked bored and a hint of dissapoinment as he looked at Austin
Tiffany was enraged ! She knew everything about everyone. How come Austin never showed her this side of him, which made tiffany look weak.
" oh yes he is " Tiffany stomped up the basement steps and went to the fridge and brought out the jar of peanut butter. Something in the back of her mind was telling her this was the wrong way to go. But she didn't care. She went back in the basement and stood in front of the motionless face of Austin and held the jar behind her back. " you are going to talk to me, you have to choices the hard way or the easy way" she said coldly still holding the jar behind her.
Austin didn't reply which made Tiffany even angrier. She soon whipped the peanut butter jar from behind her back and held it to his face.
" no offense but what is peanut butter going to do" Miranda questioned with one eyebrow raised.
" Austin is greatly allergic to peanuts" tiffany said while holding the jar . " one whiff and he'll start to react" tiffany bent over so she stood staring into his eyes.
Tiffany felt the intensity begin to rise in the room as all eyes were on her.
Tiffany saw for a split second fear in Austin's eyes.
" why did you break in Lana's house" Tiffany said emotionless
Austin was silent
" I didn't want to do this but you leave me no choice!" Tiffany sneered as she slowly unscrewed the top of the jar.
Midway through Austin said " to mess up the search " he rushed
" I'm recording this" Lana said as she whipped out her phone.
" wait what who are you going to show it to?" The desperation an worry in Austins voice was obvious.
" we ask the questions" tiffany snapped which turned Austins attention back to her.
"What do you mean by messing us up?" Tiffany tilted her head.
Still no reply. Tiffany slowly unscrewed the jar-
"I don't want you guys searching for the statue" Austin glared
" because..." tiffany said as she twirled her hair
"I stole the statue" Austin said
Tiffany thought, that didn't make any sense.
" no you didn't , you moved here in the beginning of freshman year, the statue was stolen long before that. Austin above everyone else in here I know you the best and I know your a dumbass when it comes with plans. Who are you covering for?" Tiffany stayed motionless as she watched how Austin would react.
"No one" was his only reply.
" your're not telling me the truth!" Tiffany said
" I'm going to ask one more time, who sent you here?" Tiffany's voice was almost to a whisper as she stood in front of Austin.
Still there was silence.
Furious , tiffany started to unscrew the jar ever so slowly.
She watched as Austin's eyes started to widen.
The jar had to only turn once and it would open.
"We won't tell" Lana said calmly.
Still silence. Tiffany grew inpatient and yanked the lid off as the scent of peanut butter flowed through the air.
Austin first attempted to hold his breath but after every few minutes he would fail. They stood like that for a good 20 minutes.
" that's it" tiffany scooped a good chunk of peanut butter on her finger
"Hold his mouth open" tiffany said blankly. Josh quickly held his mouth open even though Austin started spasing out.
Tiffany shoved the peanut butter down his throat and watched Austin being forced to chew and swallow it. Tiffany then got a bigger piece and stood one him. " tell us now!" Tiffany said.
Austin didn't say a word and she shoved more peanut butter into his mouth. Then she got a bigger piece.
"OK fine!!" Austin wailed " I'm working for victors older brother Stephane!!"
Victor looked furious in the corner and bellowed " HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE MY BROTHER!" Victor came over to Austin and punched him hard in the noise as it started to bleed.
" victor stop!" Lana said as she blocked victor from punching him again
" we should discuss this upstairs" victor said.
" yes but one of us should stay here to keep an eye on him" Jason said.
"" I will" victor said a little to soon.
" don't hurt him again" Lana said as she looked into victor's eyes. They all truddged up the stairs into the kitchen.
" we all agree Stephen couldn't of possibly done it right?" Lana said.
" I believed him, remember what my sister wrote in her diary!" Tiffany snickered.
Suddenly there was a loud bang from the basement. They all ran down stairs and saw the chair Austin was sitting in the rope was completely cut and the window was wide open letting the cold night air drift in. Laying on the floor was Victor with a pocket knife in his chest.
