Lana finally concluded in her mind that there was no way Jason and her could possibly be twins. If she told anyone they would think she was out of her mind. She needed more evidence, so she decided to keep it a secret from everyone, until she found more proof.
That night at dinner Lana lost her appetite and poked her food with her fork. She hadn't had a family dinner in years, she should be happy but she kept on thinking about the baby picture. People always said Jason and her looked alike.
John and Jason sat on the opposite side of the rectangular table eating their food. Her parents sat at each end of the table. Her mother cleared her throat
" I don't want to be the barrier of bad new but we got a call from the chart about the case. "
Jason and john exchanged nervous glances
" the court said we as parents aren't financially secure to bring up two more kids. So until we raise enough money for them to pass us you two may have to go back to Darren in Italy" my mother sighed.
Lana's pulse quickened there was no way her parents could earn more than they already did. Lana knew the situation was weird but John and Jason didn't deserve to be sent back. Her mother started to cry and ran out the front door and Lana's father followed. Lana's pulse quickened. Her hyperventilation was started to come back she started to grip the table.
John dahsed to the other side beside her
"Lana calm down! It's ok!" John started to pat my back as Lana slowly nodded she started to slow by breathing.
"I'm sorry you guys have to leave probably in a few days, it's just I really want you guys to stay even though I may not show it" Lana said panting.
" try counting to 10 while thinking of a happy thought, that always calms me down" Jason said
Lana started to count in her mind and for a happy thought she thought of them all playing as kids.
She finally calmed down. Then a crazy idea hit her hard in the head.
She quickly sprinted up the steps into her bed room and grabbed the yearbook and sprinted back down the steps.
"What the heck Lana" Jason gave her a confused look. Lana ignored him. She quickly opened the page she left the book mark in and then pointed to the statue that layed on the page.
" this is north charington's famous statue. It went missing three years ago, I was still in the middle school. It's said that the statue had a hidden compartment on It and the seniors that year put something valuable in it, so when it was stolen the school was furious."
"I'm still confused " Jason said , Lana sighed.
" what I just found out the statue is made of pure copper so if we track down the statue we could sell it or get a lavish reward that could help you guys stay in America"
John was scratching his head " we'll I hope you're right, what have we got to loose"
