George Shelley POV
I walk into the coffee-shop where I work and say hello to some people who are in there. I go to the back and grab a pinafore. I walk back to the front again and I can hear a bell ringing, which means that someone is coming in. I sit down behind the pay desk and the guy who just walked in, walks to me.
"Can I help you?" I ask him.
"Uhm can I have a Caramel Latte Macchiato?" He says. I nod and make it for him.
"That's 2 pounds, please" I say, while giving him a paper-cup with his coffee.
"Keep the change." he says, winking at me. Because of that, I drop the coffee onto him. He jumps back because of it, but there is still coffee on his pants.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I say, while walking to him with a towel.
"It's okay." he says, smiling. I clean up the coffee and give to towel to him afterwards. I make a new coffee for him and hand it to him.
"Thanks." he says. He turns around and walks out the door.
I sit down again and think about the guy. His sea-blue eyes, a bit covered by his nerd-glasses, his quiff that suits him so bad. His black, leather jacket, his....everything. Everything about him is perfect.
Maybe you'll think it's weird that I think about a guy like this, because I'm a guy too. But for me it isn't. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm gay. Not openly, though. Only my best friend JJ and my family knows.
After a few hours of work, I walk to my home again. I see that there is someone moving into the house on the opposite of the road. It's a pretty big house, a bit bigger then the one I live in.
I open the front door and walk into the house.
"Mum, I'm home!" I shout through the house. I can hear my little sister run down the stairs. (In this story he has a little sister who is 5 years old, instead of his other sister, Harriet. He also doesn't have any other brothers or sisters)
"George!!" she squeals. I pick her up and set her on my hip. She is 5, but pretty small and light, so i can easily hold her like this.
"Brooke!!" I squael just like her, which makes her giggle. I walk to the livingroom where my mum is sitting. I walk to her and kiss her on the cheek.
"Hii mum" I say, while sitting down on the couch and let Brooke run around the living room. "What's for diner?"
"Pizza, just felt like it." she says. She gets up and walks to the kitchen. "Brooke, do you want to help making pizza?!" she shouts. She squeals and runs to the kitchen.
I grab the remote and switch on the tv. I put MTV on and watch 'Catfish.' I love the program, but it's quite sad to think that all those people, who are madly in love with someone who they don't personally know. And 9 of the 10 times, the person isn't the one who they said they were.
After about an hour, my mum says that diner's ready and I slowly walk to the kitchen and sit down at the table. We eat in silent, until the doorbell rings. I get up and walk to the front door. I open the door and see the guy, that i met earlier today, standing in front of me.
"Hey, I just moved in across the street and I forgot the buy sugar, and the supermarket is closed already, so can I borrow some, maybe? I'll bring back some tomorrow!" he says, a bit embarrassed.
"Yeah sure, come in." i say quietly. He nods and walks in. I close the front door and walk to the kitchen where my mum is sitting, and Brooke is suddenly gone.
"Hello, you must be the new neighbor! I'm Toni." My mum says, shaking his hand.
"Yup, that's right. I'm Josh." I hear him say. Josh....it suits him.
"Here is your sugar." I say and I give it to him.
"Thank you. Well, I should head home again, bye" he says. My mum says the same and I walk to the front door with him.
"Bye Josh..." I say to him.
"Bye George." he says and he walks away. I close the door and start walking back to the kitchen.
Suddenly I stop walking.
HOW DID HE KNOW MY F*CKING NAME?!
I never told him, did I? No, I only talked to him today at the coffee shop, and a minute ago, but I never told him my name....
Maybe.....maybe he can read my mind!
Yeah sure, George, that doesn't sound paranoid at all. --'
"George, is everything okay?" My mum says, who is just walking into the hallway, where I'm still standing. I nod a bit, and slowly start walking up the stairs.
"What about your pizza?" she asks me.
"Not hungry anymore." i mutter. I reach my bedroom and lie down on my back, on the bed, facing the ceiling.
