Mark led us out to the front of the airport where there was a moving truck and a limo. We walked to it and Mark opened the door. My mouth dropped.
"Well, come on." He smiled. I looked back at Steven who was smiling. I climbed in the limo and sat on the plush seats.
"Wow, I'm loving Ireland already." I leaned back closing my eyes smiling.
"Well you're gonna love it more when you get to Dublin Academy." I leaned up and we started moving.
"What if they don't like me? A American going to school with a school full of Irish and British people."
He hopped beside me and hugged me.
"Don't worry Lola, everything will be fine." He pulled out a little piece of paper. He took my hand and put it in there then closed it.
"If you ever need me, give me a call." I smiled and he kissed my forehead.
"Now, you thirsty or hungry?"
"Both." He smiled and pulled out a Coke and a blue bag.
"Have you ever had Kazooles?" He asked. I shook my head. "What are they?"
"They are an Irish candy. It's this gummy stuff with sweet tart in the middle. Here try one." He opened it and handed one to me. I took a bite.
"That is probably the best candy I have ever had." He smiled and pulled probably fifteen packs them.
"Here, put these in your bag."
"Are you serious?"
"Well, you said it was amazing. Why not?" I smiled and put the candy in my bag.
The limo came to a stop and the door opened.
"Ms. Pritchards, welcome to your new home." I got my purse and stepped out.
There was grass and trees everywhere. Lime sidewalks lined everywhere and there were windowed covered buildings everywhere.
I heard a loud bell fill my ears and I screamed in fear.
"Shit, that scared me!" I laughed. The empty courtyards were not being filled with cheering students. My heart started to race and I felt a tear escape my eyes.
"Steven, I can't do this." I turned to him and hugged him tight. He held me and rubbed my back.
"Hey, hey, hey! Don't cry. Here, I'll stay with you for the rest of the day and help you unpack. Please don't cry." He lifted my head up and kissed my forehead. I smiled.
"I'm sorry. Just all this happened so fast! I wasn't home for 15 minutes yesterday and I was already on an air plane." I looked away from him and put my arms out.
"This isn't like me. A high class boarding school with uniforms. Not me. I'm free, wild, loose." He smiled.
"Well show them that you're proud and walk with your head held high." I smiled.
"Come on, lets get your schedule and your room key." I looked at everyone standing at the large building. I took a deep breath and pulled my backpack on my shoulder.
Steven had his hand out and I grabbed it with a wide smile. He put his arm around me and I grabbed it.
"See. Be free, wild and loose." He repeated what I said a few minutes ago.
We walked on the large sidewalk. There was two rows going along the wide sidewalk then it was a grass area where students were playing the guitar, playing a soccer ball or just sitting around laughing. That was until they saw me.
The guys with the soccer ball stopped and stared at me. Then, as we came to the middle of the sidewalk, the students on the stairs saw me. They were in a group. Probably the popular kids.
There was a cute dark brown haired, blue eyed guy laughing with brown hair and green eyed guy who was holding hands with a blonde haired blue eyed girl.
When the girl saw me, she gave me a look like I was the worst ugliest pair of shoes. I knew she was a girly girl. And probably my worst nightmare.
We reached the stairs.
"That's the new girl." I heard a couple whispers behind me. Mostly girl voices.
"Dirty American!" A girl screamed. I looked back and it was the same girl who gave me a death glare.
"Just ignore her.Free, wild and loose." I looked back and fought the tears.
Free, wild and loose.
We walked the half empty hallways. Also receiving looks from people.
Ignore them. I said in my head.
We finally reached the office. Steven guided me to the counselors office and I got my schedule and room key.
We left the school and went back to the limo. The whole court yard was cleared
"I'm dorm number six, floor five, room 44D." I looked at the package.
"Ok!" Steven smiled. "Your dorm room is down on the road. Let's get your stuff out of the truck!" I smiled wide and we went back into the limo and drove to my new home.
"The new American is supposed to be here any minute." Amanda's friend Bailey smiled devilishly.
"Can you just forget about ruining her life and leave her alone? She hasn't even got here."
"Shut it Matthews." Ok now she's gonna get it.
"You know what Todd's get a life. You're nothing but a low life bitch who enjoys other people's misery. Trevor, I love you like a brother, but you need to dump this girl and find yourself a real girl." And I stormed off.
Ugh the nerve of her! Just because she is American and new here doesn't mean she's any different!
I went to my dorm house and went to my dorm. I changed clothes and plopped on my bed. Just as I was about to sleep, Trevor came in.
"What the hell mate!" He screamed.
"I'm sorry Trevor but I do not like her. You need a new girl." He groaned.
"Look, I'm really tired. Let me sleep. We will discuss this later." I stood up clearly annoyed. Then there was a knock at the door.
"Now who the hell is that." I stormed to the door. I opened it. "What do you want." I growled.
It was the new girl. She had her head down and whispered, I was barely able to hear her. "Sorry."
"Oh shit. I'm sorry. Are you the new girl?" I asked. Her head remained down and nodded.
"Well welcome to Dublin Academy. I'm Parker."
"Lola Pritchards. Can you tell me where room 44D is?"
"Sure love." I smiled. "It's at the end of the hall." I pointed.
"Thank you." She said and she walked off. I closed the door and fell on my bed.
"I am a total dick." I groaned. "Why?"
"That was the girl and 'what do you want' was the first thing that came out of my mouth." He laughed.
"Yeah, you are a dick." I gave a sarcastic laughed and turned around and closed my eyes.
