32. Chapter 32

POV Liam

We all sat in the lobby, the anxiousness floating in the room. I was sitting with Niall and Zayn when Louis came running out. We all stood.

"Something went wrong." He cried. "They pushed me out. Harry is still with her."

Niall brought him into a hug, crying onto his shoulder. I stood nervous. She had to be okay. She had to.

"Are the babies okay?" Zayn asked wiping his cheeks. Louis let go of Niall.

"They're fine."

It seemed like hours before Harry finally came out. He was sobbing violently. We ran up to him and he just cried harder.

"She's gone." He wailed. Louis stared at him blankly.

"No!" Niall screamed. "No! That's not true!"

He went running, Zayn running after him. I stared at Louis through blurry vision. His face didn't change, it's blank stare being devastating.

"Louis." I whispered grabbing his shoulder. He jerked it away harshly.

"No!" He screamed. "She promised! She promised she would never leave me!"

His knees gave out under him and he collapsed to the ground, his hands covering his face. I watched as his body trembled. I crouched down next to him, not daring to touch his body.

"She promised." He whispered. I looked away to find Niall and Zayn coming back over to us, their red cheeks coated in tears.

"Come on Louis, take a seat." I urged helping him into one of the cushioned seats. Harry sat down next to him, his head buried into his knees.

We sat in silence, the occasional sniffing being the only noise. From the hallway came the doctor, his face filled with sympathy. He walked to me, seeing I was the most stable.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled. "We tried everything. The babies were early and her body was not fully prepared. We'll give you time before we talk plans. Take your time."

With that he left. I turned to the boys. All of them were crying, either silently or violently. I sat next to Niall, rubbing his back soothingly. I didn't know how to deal with it. Annalise was like my sister but it didn't feel right to get as emotional as the other boys. I knew I had to be strong, for the sake of the other boys.

"Excuse me?"

I looked up to find a young blonde lady dressed in nurse clothes, her ocean eyes looking down at me in pain. I stood up astonished by her appearance.

"Hi." I whispered. She giggled and I felt the heat rush to my cheeks.

"Are you Liam Payne?"

She looked down shamefully. Her teeth gnawed at her bottom lip nervously.

"I'm Nurse Avery. We need the father of the twins to sign the birth certificates."

I glanced at the boys. I couldn't ask that.

"May I ask them?" She asked noticing my uneasiness.

I nodded. Avery walked in front of them and cleared her throat. I sat down as the boys rose their heads slightly.

"I'm Avery. One of Anna's nurses. We need the birth certificates signed. Who is the father?"

At that all the boys stood. Avery looked at them confused.

Then, the anarchy began.

Sadly, this is the last chapter of Emily. Hopefully, I will create a sequel. I hope you guys enjoyed it and thank you for the support.
