14. The Phone Call
The mall in this city was huge. Not that I have never been here before, but up until now I never really looked at the details or what shops was here. Only the free bathrooms and the cheap restaurants here in the food court. But now I was able to shop wherever I wanted and looked around without being ashamed of myself. Before I left with Carlos and Ciel I was able to get a hot shower and take my time and I was able to borrow some of Alexis's old clothes. Her old clothes are beautiful, with dark corsets and black skinny jeans or ripped skinny jeans or high waist skirts that just ended an inch down from my butt.
When I was done getting dressed and washing up Courtney insisted that she done my hair and make up. Although when she got to the make up she was astonished with how lovely my real face was. So instead she just applied red lip stick and a few strokes of mascara to me. With my hair curled and decked out in spikes heels, a pair of black ripped jeans and a burgundy corset I made my way downstairs to the waiting guys. Once the guy saw me, definitely Ciel, they checked me out. "I guy a flower was disguised as a weed this full time." Carlos said.
Alexis who was sitting on the couch in her new style of choice scowled at me. That scowled reminded me that I wasn't fully accepted here and that I never will be. Nor will I fully fit in here. I was just taken in out of force by Demitri to be tested and watched on. Is that why everyone but Alexis was being so nice to me? Because Demitri told them to or because they knew how much I meant to Demitri. "There they are again. Those golden flecks." Demitri's voice spoke out of nowhere. Stunned I turned around and saw him at the door with a red cloak for a women. Surly it wasn't for him so who was it for?
My confusion on the coat must've shown towards Demitri because the next words out of his mouth was; "This was Zenya's old coat. She wore this on her and I's first date. I thought you would like to wear a coat since it is cold outside, so I brought you this one." I assumed that Zenya must have been his soul mate. I smiled at him and he tossed me the cloak. It felt so soft and instantly I put it on.
"Thank you. I appreciate this." I told him. And then a thought crossed my mind. "What if, when you find out why I have those gold flecks in my aurora, and it disappointed you, what would you do?" I asked him. possibilities fluttered throughout my mind. Him killing me in pure frustration, him kicking me out alone on the streets with nothing but the clothes on my back, or maybe, just maybe he would let me stay here. No one spoke for a minute, wanting to know the answer to this.
I lifted my gaze from the floor to Demitri. His eyes looked lost and his mouth was open a little. I just stared at him waiting for him to respond. Slowly he talked to me. "You look so much like her in the coat. It's as if she came back to me." He whispered. The next thing that came out of his mouth shocked me and the rest of his pack. Shaking my head to get his words out of my thoughts I focused onto the clothing. Ciel was talking on and on about how he has to take me out to this amazing restaurant. It made gothic looking food and a gothic setting.
We shopped until we couldn't anymore for all three of us before Carlos's phone went off. He answered it, looked at me, then looked away and scowled. "Ok. I understand." Carlos ended the phone call and turned towards a curious Ciel and a worried Violet. "We have to go back."
