Mistress of Darkness

In the cover of darkness my prey never sees me. They won't hear me nor will they smell me. Even in their prime of the wolves they can't see me. Those people in the white cloaks made sure of that by injecting chemicals and cells of both vampire and wolf into my cells. But now there is this one... one that I am curious about...

9. The Decision

I was surrounded by these non- humans and my heart raced faster and faster each move they made. Before I even met these non- humans, when I was in the white place or the beginning of my escape, I thought that I would have been happy to see others somewhat like me. But right now, all I could think was my own death. Killed by someone like me, instead of the Whites. Like I thought from the very beginning. "What are you?" I asked them.

No one answered me. All they did was look me up and down, at my bloody lips and then at my eyes, then down to the very shoes I was wearing. Their looks made me feel self-conscious and weary. Would they kill me because I attacked that human back there? Or would they torture me like the Whites did back in that white place. Trapped forever until finally, my thirst and anger and hunger got the best of me.

"You filthy hybrids. All of you make me want to puke." Said one of the girls. She was the with the jet black hair and a little chunky. "I swear. Next time one of you step onto our land again, I will rip all of your throats out." Her voice hissed out. That piece of news smashed into my heart and clutched it as hard as it can.

I heard my mouth making a pop sound. " There are others like me?" I asked them, wanting to make sure that I heard them right. No one answered me once again. A minute droned onwards as I waiting to hear them talk. For people who looked so candy coated sweet, they sure had ugly hearts. But then again, wasn't I just like them? A cold, ugly hearted witch with a capitol B?

The guy who looked at me first started to laugh. It was eerie and icy. "Don't play dumb you monster." He spat towards me. "Who made you come out here? Was it those vamps?" He asked me. So they were werewolves. I looked up at the moon and saw that it was a full one. And it had no effect on them, as if they defined the law of the werewolves. Because every full moon my senses heightened and I got really hungry.

That rang a bell into my head. Yes, this must be why I was so hungry today. It is a full moon out right now. "I don't know what you mean." I whispered and looked downwards. My feet was covered in snow a little bit with a few drops of blood that was falling from my mouth. Someone grabbed my face and looked me into the eyes.

"Tell me the truth. Who sent you, and why in the world are you on our turf?" It was the guy who laughed. But this time, he wasn't laughing. His face was serious and his eyes, they done something to me. Made me want to tell the truth. So I did.

"No one sent me and this is where I ran to. Where I thought I should go after I ran away from the Whites." Someone from inside my own body spoke. It was emotionless and eerie, not my own voice. Was this guy using my trick on my own self?

All of them looked at one another in utter shook. As if they were wondering where I came from and if I was a threat to them. The guy who was holding my face let me go and stepped back. His jaw was clenching and unclenching as if wondering what to say. The guy with the dream catcher tattoo walked to the one who laughed. "I think we should bring him to Dimitri." He spoke.

All of them looked at me and then looked at the guy with the black star tattoo. He nodded and turned around to walk in the way to the school park. "Follow us." He demanded me. My body felt compelled to go along, to follow whatever laid ahead of me.
