When we got to the house all light lights were off but one. The room that I have woken up in. "Carlos, may you please tell me what is going on?" I asked him. Ciel seemed to know what it was and he looked at me with sad eyes. The bags that carried my new clothes, hair supplies, and body supplies fell to the ground right when I passed through the thresh hold of the house. I bounded up the stairs, two at a time, and rushed to the room. It was my room now.
Once I opened the door the smell of something like roses or blood hit me. Two strangers were sitting on my bed surrounded by my new family. They both rose up and I couldn't find the will to move. Their eyes were blood red with a black line running through their irises. Right away, for some reason, I knew they were vampires. It was as if something just clicked in me and I felt safe around them. As if I was supposed to be around vampires.
One of the vampires is a girl and the other a boy. Both of them looked less than ten, seven maybe. Confused I looked at Demitri and he just put his finger to his lips, telling me to be quite. "Hello... Hybrid." The girl spoke, as if trying to figure out what to call me. Her voice sounded Russian and I was about to say 'aw' from it because it just added to her cuteness. Pony tails ran past her shoulders in a golden haze, her skin pale, and her pink clothes made her look like a church girl.
"It is Violet." I told her. The boy looked like a small Ciel, all decked out in the same gothic clothing and hair. The small boy took a step closer towards me, looking at me fully. As if trying to figure out what I was actually even though he probably knew. Carlos and Ciel walked in and paused in the door way behind me. I moved over to let them in but they just stayed outside. Ciel looked panicked and Carlos furious.
The little boy walked closer to me now and extended his hand. I took it and we shook hands. "It is nice to meet you Violet. You look just like my mommy. I take fondness of you. You are lucky." He spoke in such a sophisticated way. It sounded funny coming out of this small boy and I had to force myself not to laugh. His voice was like the girls voice, a Russian one. "I assume you wonder why we are here." He stated.
I nodded. "Well." The girl said. "The vampire council wants you to join us for diner tomorrow at midnight. Of course you can bring a companion so someone can fill you in on any minor or major details, or just to comfort you. But you intrigue us vampires Violet. A lab rat that can possibly kill any vampire of werewolf or hybrid since you are not bonded by the Curse. If you don't attend this diner well, you will still see the council one way or another." She spoke.
My heart raced and then they were gone and the door that lead outside onto a balcony was open. A black rose laid on the floor where the little boy stood and Ciel and Carlos rushed towards me. "Are you okay?" Ciel asked me. I nodded and picked up the rose. It smelt like blood and it made me hungry. More hungry than I have been since I was with these werewolves.
"What do they mean, if I don't attend, I will still see the council no matter what?" I asked them, scared about this.
"It mean that they will most likely kidnap you. You don't want to get on their bad side Violet. They cannot harm us because Demitri is part of the werewolf Council but they can hurt you. We can't have that because Demitri isn't finished with you." Carlos spoke, reminding me that they are not truly my family. Nor can they be considered one anymore because I am just their experiment after all.
I nodded. "Take me with you Violet." Demitri said. But I had another plan. I turned towards Ciel and he seemed to know what I wanted. After all, he is the only one who I taken fondness of more and trusted more. For some reason he always made me calm and accepted. "Why?" Demitri asked in anger. "He cannot protect you as well as I! He isn't the strongest out of the bunch."
"I do not need someone who is ultimately strong. I can kill someone, vampire or werewolf, like a twig if I wanted to. The Whites made sure of that." I told Demitri and ended our conversation, running out into the woods, looking for some human to feed on. That rose that now laid on my bed seemed to enhance the need for blood.
