"Maggie'Boo!" Kien called running down the hall to catch up to me, his light red hair catching the light. He has joined the academy only a couple years after Jacob and I. We had had an instant connection, and been best friends ever since. I picked up my pace, teasing Kien.
"Maggie!" He cried, almost whinning. I let out a laugh, picking up my pace again. Suddenly I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me. "Got you." Kien whispered in my ear, his breath warm against my ear.
I squealed, trying to squirm away. "Let go of my Ky."
"Never going to happen." Kien laughed, picking me up throwing me over his shoulder. "Our instructor wants to talk to us."
"Our final assesment?" I asked as he carried me towards our instructors office.
Kien nodded. "And we all get to work together."
"Yay." I cried giving Kien the best hug I could give him from the position he had me in. "Jacob and Lucas too?"
"Of course." Kien laughed. "We get to travel too, it's a big assignment."
"And it's going to be a fun too." A familiar british accent said.
"Lukey!" I cried twisting in Kien arms to face Lucas on Kien's other side.
"Hello love." Lucas said, his all too familar smirk only inches from my face. His dark brown eyes twinkled with mischief.
"Pretend to kiss me." He whispered, his lips brushing my ear. "It will be like a last joke before were full assassins."
I nod, whispering. "A little kiss on the cheek."
Lucas smirked again, his lips brushing my cheek.
"That's not a kiss Lukey!" I cried, pretending to be angry. I felt Kien's arms tighten slightly around mine. "Lukey!"
Lucas smiled again pressing his lips against my cheek.
"That's better Lukey." I smirked. "But this one should be on the lips."
Lucas leaned in, his lips only centimeters from mine, I could feel his breath on my lips. Kien pulled me around, now carrying me bridal style.
"No one gets to kiss you on my watch." he growled, his blue eyes tinted with jealously. I wrapped my arms around Kien, resting my head on his shoulder winking at Lucas who walked behind us. He winked back at me mouthing, "told you he likes you." I nodded playing with Kien's hair.
"Oh Kien." I smiled. "No one could ever replace you in my life." I could feel his heartbeat speed up against my body.
"And no one can replace you in mine." He smiled placing me down careful. We were standing in front of our instructor's door, it stood ominously above us. I shuddered lightly thinking about what lay inside.
"Hey wait up." Jacob yelled as he jogged up, his blonde hair ruffled with sleep. "Almost overslept."
I smiled ruffling his hair. "There you go."
Jacob stuck his tounge out at me and I stuck mine out at him. Kien stepped between us, his serioud face on. I slipped back standing between Kien and Lucas, Kien only got his serious face when we had a job to do.
Kien knocked once when our instructor's voice boomed from inside. "Come on it, I have your assinment ready."
I grabbed Kien's and Lucas's hand for support, squeezing lightly. They both squeezed back, and a feeling of relief spread though me.
Our instructor sat behind his desk, a stack of five binders lay before him. "You four have been chossen to kill these five boys, but this will not be a normal assingment. This will have to look like an accident, so you will be going undercover and when the time is right you will kill, but only when the time is right. Understand?"
We all nodded, my heartbeat speeding up, I have never kill anyone before, what if I freeze up when it's time, no I won't. I take a deep breath as our instructor hands us each a binder, giving Lucas the extra one.
"Memorize everything in those binders, you will be flying out to London on the 9:00am flight." He said, his dark eyes unreadable.
We nodded again.
"You may go now." He said. "But remember, you fail this you will never be welcomed back."
"Thank you sir." We murmer as we exit his office.
The second I am out I open my binder, I will not fail this, I just cant. This is my home, where everyone I love is, I will return.
My eyes fly stright to the name of my target, Niall James Horan.
