24. For Kaitlyn
As an early Christmas present, Liam had taken me to New York City to see a Broadway show. Since the end of the show, I had been enjoying a refreshingly crisp winter day by window shopping in the Big Apple as light snowfall danced all around us. Liam’s cheeks, nose, and ears had turned a bright pink shade from the exposure to the chilly air, and I was positive that my face matched his.
He stoped me in the middle of Times Square and took a long, shaky breath. i noticed that he was fiddling around with something in his pocket. As he pulled whatever it is he had been playing with out of his pocket, he knelt down on the ground. He opened the ring box before speaking.
“Kaityln, you mean the world to me, and I want you to know that I would do anything to make you happy and keep you that way. I want to spend the rest of my life listening to your beautiful laugh and gazing into your amazing eyes. Would you please make me the luckiest man alive and marry me?”
he asked, and i almost did’t hear his last few words because my head was spinning in the best way possible, and i was chocked up with tears. i nod happily as a few stray droplets trickle down me cheeks. Liam slided the stunning ring onto my finger and stood up to wipe away my tears, pulling me in for a big kiss as he did. A few people who had gathered around us were now clapping, congratulating us on our engagement.
hope you like it. x
