In Love With My Foster Brother

Life in a orphanage can be fun but it can be lonely. I know, I have loads of brothers and sisters in here but lonely as in no friends. I mean no one gets along with their siblings all the time. Being the eldest my life is a lot more difficult than the younger ones but will it change when I get fostered.

“Come down here and help Baby Rosie eat her breakfast.” Emma shouted, one of our carers at the home. “How about no?” I rhetorically asked her. “Shut up and help. After that you need to take The twins to the park then help Kyle with his homework. After that you need to help Saph in the bath then cook tea for Toby, Levi and Ben.” Fuck my life. How much do I need to do? “Fine, I better get paid for it.” I answer as Rosie started to cry. I rolled my eyes and picked her up. Carefully I rocked her in my arms and she stopped crying. “See, only you can stop her crying like that.” Emma told me. “That’s because I’m the only one that feeds her. What are you doing today then?” I ask her. “I’m going shopping.” She answers. “Well you can take over my jobs and I can take over yours.” I say to her. “Okay so you want to go food shopping then find a new sofa for the house. Then but the twins birthday presents then go to the tip to drop off all the rubbish then going to a stupid birthday party full of crying 3 years olds?” She asks me. I shake my head. “I’m fine. Have fun.” I smiled as she walks out the door. I feed Rosie her baby food. Then give her to Kyle. “What why am I looking after her?” He moans. “Because I need to take Tily and Tabby to the park and your second in charge when I’m not around.” I tell him. “Why me?” He moans again. “You because your 17 and second oldest.” I shout. “Tily, Tabby get your coats on.” I shout and slam Kyle’s door walk to my room. I grab my clothes and change out of my pj’s putting on these…

TWPTily and Tabby walk in once I’m changed. “Let’s go!” They squeal excited.  I roll my eyes and usher them to the front door. They tie their laces and then we go. “Push me!” Tily shouts and I do. “Higher.” She shouts at me. Not at all demanding is she? I pushed her higher and then moved over to watch Tabby on the slide. After 20 minutes in the park I took them home to help Kyle with his homework. It’s not him I don’t like its Emma for not making him drop out of school like she made me. Now Kyle has GCSE’s and he will get a degree or more and A levels most likely. I walked home and the girls rushed up into their bedroom. I knocked on Kyle’s door. “Come in.” He shouted at me. I opened the door and walked him. I got out his homework and put it on his desk. “Let’s get to work.” I said. He remained silent. I looked over to him and he was on his xbox. I walked over to the tv and turned it off. “HEY!” Kyle shouted. “Homework, NOW!” I shouted back at him. He huffed. “Right so 55 over 25 is what as a fraction?” I asked him. “I don’t know.” He said. The thing is I don’t know either. I secretly looked it on my phone. “It’s 2 with the fraction 5 over 25 beside it.” I told him writing it out on his work. Showing him I helped with the rest over his homework. After that I bathed Spah which was difficult then I cooked tea. There was a knock on the door. “Hello.” I politely smiled to couple at the door. “We are here to see Rosie.” They told me. Another kid is going to get fostered, another one that isn’t me. “Sure, are you here to take her?” I asked and they nodded. I got Rosie from Kyle’s room who was playing on his xbox again. I walked back downstairs and handed Baby Rosie to them. “Thank you.” They said and then left but handing over the adoption papers first. Another child gone.
