From the moment we sat down, I could tell the waitress didn't like me.
Harry asked her for the booth in the furthest corner in the restaurant. She took us there but the whole time I could hear her huffing out her annoying breath. Big huge sighs that Harry and I were obviously ignoring. It was getting annoying but luckily we got to our table before I said something I might regret.
I sat on one side of the booth and Harry sat on the other and the waitress, Ann, handed Harry his menu and basically dropped mine on me. I didn't say anything, just rolled my eyes and 'accidentally' spilled my water bottle I had with me.
"Oops," I said smiling up at her.
Harry looked up at what happened and just started laughing. This obviously ticked off Ann more.
"Do you know what you want, or do you need time?" she snapped.
"I need this water cleaned up." I said laughing.
She huffed and turned on her heels to go get a rag to clean up the mess.
"Any reason you spilled all your water bottle on her?" Harry asked amused.
"Yes, she was being a bitch." I replied honestly.
"Okay, true. Do you know what you are gonna get?"
"Yeah, just the mozzarella pasta with a side order of green olives with a Diet Coke."
"No, I don't get it because I think I am 'fat', I just enjoy the taste of it."
"But it's diet?? Eww-"
"Have you ever tried it?"
"Well, you are going to today."
Ann came back with the rag and cleaned up all the water, "Do you know what you want now?"
"Yes," I said.
She ignored me and continued to look at Harry.
Harry looked up at Ann then at me then back at her, "Don't be rude? Take her damn order?" he snapped.
Her eyes got huge and she looked over at me and waited.
"Yes, I'll have the mozzarella pasta with a side order of green olives and a diet coke."
She rolled her eyes as she wrote my order down and turned to Harry.
"I'll have the half pound steak with a side of fries and a Mountain Dew." he said as he took our menu's and put then in front of the waitress.
She didn't say another word, just picked up the menus and left. She was back about a minute later with our drinks then immediately left.
I gave Harry a half smile and slid my drink over to him. He looked down at it and gave it a disgusting look.
"Oh, come one!" I laughed.
He smiled and rolled his eyes. He picked up the drink and took a sip then thought about weather or not he actually liked the taste. He then set the drink back in front of me and his whole face broke out into a smile and he laughed.
"Okay, okay. You got me. It's actually good." He said between laughs.
"Told you," I smiled
Okay, I had to admit, Harry wasn't that bad. He is actually kinda sweet. I guess he actually meant what he said.
While we waited for our food, we talked about everything! Pets, parents, friends and even the competition. He seemed really interested in why I tried out for the show if I could easily just make an album through my dad connections. Although it was harder to explain, he got the point.
When the food arrived, Ann practically dropped the food on purpose and Harry didn't seem to like it one bit.
"What the hell is your problem? Can you not be jealous? Like seriously? Do you want an autograph? A hug? What? Just stop being rude," he snapped.
She quickly set his food down and practically ran away crying.
"Harry? You didn't have to do that-"
"Yes, I did. I don't appreciate her being rude and trying to ruin our date."
"Yes, but she is just being jealous."
He sighed, "I'm sorry, lets just eat?" he smiled
"Okay," I smiled back.
We were half way through our food, smiling and laughing, when a man in a nicer Olive Garden uniform came to our table with Ann cowering behind him.
"Can we help you?" Harry asked looking up at the man.
He looked at me and then at Harry, "I have been informed that you yelled at my employee a few minutes ago?"
Harry looked as if he had been slapped, "No, I did not. I told her I did not appreciate the way she treated my date."
"How did she treat your...date?" he said looking over at me as if I were a piece of trash.
This ticked me off, "Who the fuck are you?! You think you can look at me like that? Like I'm not worthy of eating in your restaurant? Well, let me inform you, buddy, Olive Garden is no five star restaurant. It is a two star restaurant at the damn most, and I am not gonna tolerate being treated like this."
Now he looked like he had just been slapped, "Ma'am, I am not going to be talked to like this-"
"Then don't look at me how you are. I am better then you! I am doing something with my life and you are just a damn store manager." I yelled as I got up and began storming away. "And your food tastes like shit!" I yelled behind me and I headed towards the front door.
"I'm not paying for this shit!" I heard Harry yell.
I ran out to my car and got in the drivers seat and just sat there staring at my balled up fists. It was only when Harry got in and sat down that I realized that I was close to tears.
