Today I was taking Lottie, Ash, and Fizzy on a hike through the woods. We were planning on camping out tonight and give mother time with the little ones. I was leading the group because I was the only one who knew where to go, but I made sure to look back making sure everyone was still with me.
"Can we take a break Lou?" Lottie begged.
"Sure." I said as I leaned against a tree and took out a bottle of water. Lottie sat down on a rock and did the same. Fizzy was looking around taking in the sights while Ash stared at her ankle as she sat down. I walked over to her and bent down next to her. I pulled her sock down to see that her ankle was swollen.
"What happened?" I asked all the girls.
"She tripped awhile back..." Fizzy mumbled.
"Why didn't you guys tell me?" I groaned.
"I didn't want you to make us turn around.." Ash mumbled.
I sighed and pulled her sock back over her ankle. I turned my backpack around and told her to get on my back. At first she wasn't so sure then she wrapped her arms around my neck. After I picked her up we started on our way again.
A few hours went by and we finally found the perfect spot to camp in. I sat her on the ground and started setting up the two tents. Lottie and Fizzy started the fire. When I was done I noticed that Ash looked completely bummed out.
"Why so bummed?" I asked taking a seat next to her.
"I can't help with anything." She groaned.
"We don't want you hurting your ankle any worse." Lottie said. "If you break your ankle then we won't have our star Soccer player able to play."
My eyes lite up. Ash plays soccer?
"Oh yeah I never told you." Lottie giggled.
"Told me what?" Ash asked confused.
"All those Soccer trophies in the display case.." Lottie said proudly. "My brother is the reason they have those."
Ash looked at me with surprise. I couldn't help but have a smug grin on my face. Soccer was my thing. It was the best thing in my life. After a bit Lottie and Fizzy went inside a tent and fell fast asleep. Ash stayed by the fire staring off into space.
"Are you okay Ash?" I asked.
"Huh? Oh yeah I'm fine." She mumbled.
I walked towards the tent I was suppose to have by myself when she stopped me. I turned around and stared at her. She wasn't putting any pressure on her swollen ankle, all of her weight was on her other one. She wrapped her arms around me and pulled my face down till I felt her lips lock with mine. I couldn't resist. I wrapped my arms around her small waist pulling her body closer to mine. Then I pulled away and pulled her into my tent. She sat down as I zipped the tent back up. I turned around and I felt lips lock with mine again. I leaned her back so then my body was now hovering over hers.
Somehow I found the strength to stop. I sat up and buried my head in my hands. I felt her take one of my hands in hers so I looked up. She looked so sad and hurt.
"You don't like me do you?" Tears started filling her eyes.
"What?" My eyes widened. "Ash that isn't why I pulled away! I don't want to take advantage of you..." I leaned my forehead against hers.
"You think you're taking advantage of me?" She started giggling. "I felt like that's what I was doing to you.."
"I'm the male remember!" I laughed. "You could never take advantage of me."
"So you're in control?" Her eyes sparkled with enlightenment.
"You know it sweetheart." I winked at her before locking my lips with hers.
