I sat up in my bed rubbing my tired eyes trying to adjust to the morning light. I looked up as the door flew opened. Lottie stood there with her arms crossed. Fizzy was behind her staring at me.
"What?" I asked in my morning voice.
"Mom left and we're hungry..." Phoebe said pushing her way through.
I sighed and walked downstairs to the kitchen. Daisy sat on the couch watching Tom and Jerry intensely. I grabbed some eggs and pancake mix. I admit I'm not the greatest cook but I think I did okay. I served all four plates for the girls then called them all down. Lottie stared at the eggs and pancakes and groaned. I glared at her while the others were eating. Then we heard someone knocking on the front door.
"I'll get it!" She said a little to happy for my liking.
I took a seat on the counter and started taking bites out of a cookie. My head popped up when I heard Lottie's voice getting louder as she came back.
"My brother really stinks at cooking. The eggs look weird and I swear the pancakes are either burnt or under cooked." She complained.
"Well at least he tries for you." I heard a soft sweet voice giggle. "My brother would just make me eat cat food."
That's not a bad idea.
Lottie came back into the kitchen with a girl following her. As I got a better look at her I noticed she had a light green color eyes.
"Who's your friend Lottie?" I asked.
"Ashlyn, she just moved here." Lottie said proudly.
I jumped down of the counter and walked towards the stairs. I stopped when I was next to Ashlyn and bent down.
"I'd pick better friends then Lottie, she's a troublemaker." I whispered and then walked to the steps.
I heard her giggle and Lottie stared at me with evil eyes. I laughed and went upstairs to change into some fresh clothes. I walked back down just as Harry knocked on the front door. I opened it to see him and his girl Abby.
"Hey Haz, Abby." I said moving to the side as the walked inside.
"We wanted to know if you wanted to come skating with us." Harry said.
"Can't. Mom left and I have to watch the pains." I groaned.
"They can come too!" Abby squealed. "It'll be fun!"
