20. Soccer and secrets
He seems to like that piece of information. There are huge smiles on both our faces. Now he knows that I’m actually legal and I’m quite sure he is going to use that information in a good way. “Well, that’s good to now,” he smirks and grab out for my hand. “Is there any particular reason that you told me this?” he asks. “I just thought it would be nice to know,” I say looking deep into his eyes. “It is a nice fact he smiles, but are you sure you want to do something like that? I mean, are you ready for something like that?” I nod at him and a smile spreads across his face.
I look behind him and see the waitress coming with our food. She places it on our table and I look at all the different kinds of colorful fish on rice. “These are my favorites, I hope you like them as well,” Mitch says to me. “I’m sure I’ll like them. I’m not picky at all.” I grab a set of chopsticks as I answer and start to position them so that I can pick up some food. Mitch does the same and picks up a plain piece of nigiri with tuna. I take a bit of wasabi and mix it into my little bowl of soya, before taking a piece similar to Mitch’s. We eat and talk about home and our families and how it is back at home. I tell him about my sister and that I live with my mom. I tell him about my school and what my plans for the future are. He told me about Canada and his family. He told me that he would love for me to meet his family and I told him the same. This is getting pretty serious, but I’m comfortable with the situation and I haven’t had any of my “hallucinations” for a couple of days. I’m getting better and I feel really attracted to Mitch and he makes me happy. This is probably going to work, I at least hope so. We keep eating and talking. I tell him about my cat and just regular stuff from back home, nothing important.
After we finish eating we drive back to the house. When Mitch isn’t using his right hand to shift gears it’s in my hand and we are holding hands the entire way home. When we get back we both got out of the car and he put his arm around my shoulders while we walked into the house. The boys are nowhere to be seen, so we go looking for them. We find them in the backyard playing soccer. Mitch and I walk over to them. “Hey doods,” Mitch says waving at them. “How was your date?” Jerome laughs. “It was good,” I smile at him. We stand there looking for a bit, then Ian says; “Do you want to join or are you just going to stare at us forever?” We walk closer to them and Adam says; “Karoline you’re on my team and Mitch you can be on the losing team, with the other losers,” I laugh with him and walk over to his team which consist of him, Jason, Ty and now me. “Just so you know it - we are going to win!” Jerome yells at Adam. We laugh and we start playing. I really suck at soccer, so I quickly lose the ball and Mitch’s team score. “Oops…” I say to my team and give them an excusing look.
We play for about 40 minutes and I’m really tired. The team I was on lost and we walk back into the house. We all sit down in the couches. “What are we actually going to do tomorrow?” I ask the boys. They all look at the others until Adam talks; “It’s actually kind of a secret, but we can tell you that it probably involves some of your idols.” He smiles and the other boys do too. “But you guys are my idols,” I send them a big smile while saying it and giggle a little. “Well, maybe some other idols of yours,” Mitch laughs. “We can’t possibly be the only ones!” Jerome says, continuing Mitch’s sentence. Hmm what is going to happen?
