I'm sorry for not updating lately, but I haven't been in the mood for writing. I've also had some personal problems to struggle with at the moment, so i haven't had the surplus to write... I'm gonna go down to writing 1-2 chapters per week instead of 3. I hope that is okay.
When we are back at the house Mitch grabs a bag from the bag of his car, then takes my hand and we walk into the house. We find Ian, Adam, Jason and Quentin in the kitchen, working their butts of trying to make a presentable dinner. There is only a couple of hour until the first guests are going to arrive. Jerome and Ty are cleaning and laying the table for tonight. They all seem really excited and I am too! Mitch hasn’t let go of my hand, but now he does and walks to our room and returns without his bag. I left mine in the car and decide to go get them. I got two new pairs of shorts, 3 new tops and a new book from the second-hand book shop. On my way back into the house I hear Ty talking to Jerome and stop to listen, without getting seen.
“She just seems a bit weird,” Ty says and pauses, “But I guess that’s how it is.”
“Same,” Jerome says, “But there is also the age difference, do you think they have talked about that?” Ty says a short mhm and they stop talking.
Are they talking about me and Mitch? They probably are - I’m weird and there is 4 years between Mitch and I. Age is a number, but for years is still a lot, when we are this young and believe me - I have thought about it! Mitch doesn’t seem to have a problem with it and neither do I, but it might seem a bit overwhelming to others, who doesn’t understand Mitch and I’s relationship. He respects me for who I am and it’s the same the other way around. I start walking to our room and put the bags in there. When I’m back downstairs I walk to the kitchen to find the boys laughing their butts of about something. I smile and walk up to them.
“What’s so funny?” I ask while I try to hold my own laughter in, but it’s difficult. All together their laughter is contagious!
“Do you know the coffee shop next to the other shop, that’s next to the other shop?” Adam asks cracking up and hitting his hands on his thighs.
“I don’t unfortunately Adam,” I say with the laughter filling up my voice.
“Well one of the baristas fell flat on his face and I got it on video,” Mitch says and the others keep laughing.
“When did you get coffee?” I ask him still smiling. He could have taken me with him - I went and got coffee anyways.
“After I drove you to the city. I found a new little place,” he hands me his phone with the words and I recognize the place. I was just there earlier and it’s even the same barista. The look is his eyes shows that he clearly isn’t there in his mind. He doesn’t even notice Mitch at first, but then snaps out of his daydreaming and looks at him with a kinda scared look. He looks almost ill and like he could faint any second.
“I’d like a cappuccino please,” Mitch says. The barista looks at Mitch like he just fell down from the moon.
“Oh yea of course,” he says while shaking his head, like if he is trying to shake his thoughts out of it. He then takes a couple of steps over to the coffee machine and fall - no he doesn’t even fall, he faints! And Mitch does nothing! How can they just stand here laughing at him? He’s clearly sick!
When I look up from the phone the boys are still laughing, but they quickly stop when they see the look on my face.
“What’s wrong?” Jerome asks while sending me a weird look.
“Mitch? What did you do after he fainted?” I look at Mitch and he looks surprised.
“Faint?” He really didn’t know?!
“Yes! He was clearly sick!” I say to him - raising my voice.
“I… I just left…” he says with a guilty look on his face. I can’t even bear to look at him. He just left that boy laying there! I turn my to them and walk up to our room.
