"Thanks." Harry said, taking the cart form Kaitlin.
"No problem. Just call if you need anything." she said, shoving her hands in her uniform pockets.
Harry shoved an oversized marshmallow in his mouth, "Do you want anything?" He asked, barely able to speak.
"Is there any Coke?" I asked, standing on my knees so that I could get a better look at the snack covered cart.
"Uh.." Harry said, sifting through the pile of snacks. "Here." he tossed me a Coke. I barely caught it, as it flew towards my head.
"Thanks." I said, turning back around to face the T.V. Harry walked back around, and sat closer to me than ever before. Our legs were touching, and I felt like mine was on fire where his ankle crossed over mine.
"Need some help?" Harry asked, pointing at my drink, which I couldn't seem to open.
"Yeah," I blushed, handing him my drink. "I have no upper body strength." I laughed at myself.
"It's fine." He said, twisting off the cap on the first try.
"I loosened it." I mocked, taking the drink back from him.
"Sure you did." he laughed. He leaned back against the sofa, stretching out his arms, letting his left on rest behind me, inches from my shoulders.
"Wow." I laughed.
"What?" he asked, looking at me.
"Did you seriously just pull one of the most overused moves on me?" I turned to my head to look him in the eyes.
"No." he said, drawing out the 'O' in 'No'. He let his arm drop from the sofa, down to my shoulders, letting it rest there.
"Whatever." I laughed at him, letting my head rest on his arm, turning my attention back to the movie, though I still hadn't figured out the plot of the movie, and probably never would, considering that I didn't speak Japanese.
Every time I would scream, Harry's grip on me would tighten. By the end of the movie I was practically in his lap, though I wasn't thinking about that till the credits. When the movie finally ended, I relaxed, resting my head on Harry's chest, letting out a breath. When I realized that my head was on his chest and his hand was stroking my hair, I stopped breathing. The air in my lungs stuck, with no escape.
Harry realized that something was off, "What's wrong?" He asked, as his hand stopped mid stroke.
I looked up at him, still not able to breath, I just smiled, scared to say anything.
"Are you sure?" he asked again.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I said, finding my voice. "Just really tired."
"Flying will do that to you. I should know, I have lost count of the amount of times I have flown."
"I can't say the same." I said, pushing myself up out of his lap.
"How many times have you flown" he asked, pulling me back down, this time my head resting in his lap.
I stopped breathing again. How many girls would kill to be in this position? I am so lucky. This has to be a dream. My mom is going to come in my room and wake me up any minute now. Might as well enjoy it. "Um, this is my first time." I said. I felt my face turn red, and knew that he saw this time, since the lights were back on.
"Well, we must make it a flight to remember." He said, reaching over me for something on the cart that I couldn't see.
"It's already a flight to remember." I said, sitting up, this time he didn't stop me.
"Okay, I will." He said. I looked down at his hands. He was holding some strawberries and whipped cream.
"NO!" I shouted, swinging my legs over the side of the couch.
"YES!" He shouted right back at me, but with a huge toothy grin. He grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him.
I didn't resist. This was a dream come true, almost literally. He picked up a strawberry and handed it to me.I stared at it, not sure what to do. Harry turned away and grabbed the whipped cream. I still hadn't moved. I was scared to in a way. Harry turned back to me, and smiled even bigger, "Open Wide." he said, and brought the can of whipped cream to my lips. I dropped the strawberry, and let it fall to the floor.
I opened my mouth, and tilted my head back. What the hell? This will be a great story to tell, and its not like I get to do this often anyways. I shut my eyes tightly, and waited. I felt the coolness of the whipped cream fill my mouth. Harry stopped and pulled his hand back, leaving my mouth too full to close. Harry started to laugh uncontrollably. I started to get embarrassed, then when I opened my eyes, I understood. I saw a huge white spot in my vision. Harry had put some on my nose.
I am going to get him! I thought. I grabbed the can from him, trying to stifle a laugh. I didn't want to spew whipped cream all over him. I tried to shut my mouth to prevent it, only to have the whipped cream fall out all over my chin. I caught it, as it started to fall towards my lap. Harry was still laughing his ass off, so I slapped him across the face with the excess whipped cream in my hand.
"HEY!" He shouted, but still with a stupid grin on his face. "What was that for?" He asked.
"OG unn u a o!" I mumbled, I still had whipped cream coming out of my mouth, but he asked me anyway. I swallowed, then tried again. "For putting it on my nose!" I laughed. His chuckles continued. "What?" I said.
"Come Here." I stopped laughing and scooted closer to him, closing the three inch gap between us. Harry raised his hand, coming closer to me. "You missed a spot." He said, wiping my cheekbone with is thumb. "There, you're clean." He said, putting his thumb in his mouth and licking the cream off.
"Thanks." I said, feeling my cheeks flush, as I looked down at my hands. Everything went from playful to awkward in a fraction of a second. I was embarrassed to look Harry in the eyes.
"You know, we still have seven and a half hour hours left to kill. What do you wanna do?" He asked me. Forcing me to look him in the eyes.
"I really don't care." I said, standing, and walking around the small room. I felt the plane start to shake, and desperately searched for something to to grab for balance, finding nothing.
"AHHHHH!" I shouted!
Suddenly, there was a strong arm around my waist.
"I got you." Harry said. stabilizing himself on the arm of the sofa.
"What was that?" I asked. "It felt like an earthquake. Which I know it wasn't, 'cause we're in the sky."
"That, is what you call turbulence." Harry said, standing up straight, and pulling me closer to him. "It's what happens when a plane gets caught in an air current, or something like that." he explained.
"Oh." I said, as he walked me back to the couch. He sat down next to me. his time closer than before.
"There is probably nothing to worry about." He put his hand on my upper thigh, my skin burning where he touched me.
There was a beep, as Harry finished talking. "Hello, this is your pilot speaking" Said the voice. Mine and Harry's heats shot up to look at the speaker. "Due to some unexpected weather, we will be making an unplanned stop, till the storm passes over, and safe to fly." There was another beep, indicating the end of the message.
Harry turned and looked at me, "See Ella, just fine." He said. His smile was so contagious that I couldn't help but smile back. His crooked grin making me chuckle.
