*A Few Hours Later*
"So, what are we doing tomorrow?" Bonnie asks.
"We're gonna go around town and meet people," I answer.
"Okay, sounds like fun. How many people are we going to meet?"
"That's awesome. I love meeting new people," Bonnie smiles real big.
"I wonder what mom cooked us for dinner."
"Does she have a special thing she makes?"
"Chili because she uses things from her own garden. It's so good."
"I hope she makes it then."
I lick my lips, "Now so do I."
*A Few More Hours Later*
"Thanks so much mom," I smile. "The chili was as good as I remember."
"Yes, thanks to much," Bonnie smiles.
"You're welcome girls," my mother takes out bowls and heads to the kitchen.
"Your mom is so cool."
"She is, isn't she?" I tilt my head to one side and look at my Pichu.
"So, where are we sleeping?"
"In my old room. I have a cot you can sleep on."
"Okay, sounds like a plan. It'll be just like back at the apartment. Which is so much fun."
My mom walks back into the room with a plate full of brownies, "I thought you girls might like some of my homemade brownies. I haven't made them for a few months and thought why not make them for you two."
"Oh my, thank you so much mom," I smile. "Bonnie, these are the best brownies you will ever taste. They are out of this world."
"They're that good?" Bonnie asks.
"Yes, they are so good."
"Well give me on. The suspense is eating my alive."
"Ha, not for long," I hand her one. My mom's home cooked meals are something I've really missed since I left home. Also spending time with my family and friends. I hope one day I'll come back and never leave again. Well, besides vacations, of course.
