*Summer 2012-London, England*
"Come one Dan," I plead.
"I said no, Chloe," Dan says.
"Listen Dan, I have nowhere else to go. You have an extra room. I beg you, please let me come live with you."
"Ugh," I hear him talking to someone in the background. Several minutes later, he comes back on the line. "I talked to Phil, and he said it was fine. So, you can come."
"Oh, thank you so much, Dan. This means the world to me."
"You're welcome," he sighs.
"There's a bed, right?"
"Okay. I'll be there in two days. I can't wait to see you."
"It's been a few years."
"It has been too long. I've missed you Dan."
"I've missed you too, Chloe."
"Um, well bye. See you soon."
*Two Days Later*
I'm walking down the halls looking for Dan's flat number. I have a backpack on and a suitcase in each hand. And I still have three back packs and another suitcase in my car.
A few moments later I get to the door I'm looking for. I take a deep breath and knock a few times. A few seconds later the door opens; revealing my long-time friend: Daniel Howell. It's been a few years since the last time I saw him. Same long, straight, dark brown hair with a fringe to the left; same amazing brown eyes; a slight tan; same pierced ears; same full light, red lips that are pulled to the left in a half smile; now 21 years old.
"Chloe, hello," Dan's half smile turns into a full one.
I'm not the same girl he knew from a few years ago. I now bleach my hair; have had braces; let my hair grow to my shoulders; grown a few inches; now almost 21 years old. There's still a few things that are the same. Same light blue eyes; same full, pink, plump lips; same body shape. "Hello Daniel," I give him a smile.
"Well, come in," he moves out of the doorway.
I walk into the little doorway area. "How have you been?"
"Um, if you'll follow me, I'll show you to your room."
"Lead the way."
