The boys and I settled onto the bus after having a really good laugh from Rebecca and Sarah. I smiled to myself just thinking about them and what they did. Well, just thinking mostly about her. I sat on the one couch with Zayn. Louis and Harry sat on the other couch across from us, and Liam was sitting on the chair next to Harry.
“They are absolutely nuts!!” Liam said, chuckling. He was referring to Rebecca and Sarah.
“No. They are absolutely brilliant!!” Louis said, laughing. I chuckled along with him. “What do you think, Harold?”
“What do you mean?” Harry said.
“What do you mean, what do I mean? I saw the way you looked at that lovely Sarah girl.”
“I don’t know what your talking about.” Harry said leaning back on the couch, popping some nuts in his mouth and chewing, trying to not release his smirk.
“Rubbish, you are, Harold. Absolute rubbish.” Louis said smiling. “You saw her as a tasty dish, didn’t you?” Everybody started to crack up. I was dying of laughter.
“She was a lovely girl.” Harry said, smirking and blushing.
“This is just like when we were on the Chatty Man for the first time.” I said pointing at Harry, as everybody cracked up again thinking of the memory.
“Like you should talk, Niall!” Harry yelled, throwing nuts at me. “What about you and Rebecca?
“What about me and Rebecca?” I asked acting confused even though I knew exactly what he was talking.
“It seemed that you took a fancy to her? Do you?” Harry asked. I felt everybody looking at me.
“I’ll admit, unlike some people in here who are afraid to admit their feelings, I thought she was cool. I like her.” I said, looking back at Harry and smirking. Harry’s eyes widen when I looked at him.
“Wait what?!” Louis asked. “You like Rebecca?”
I took a minute to think what Louis was saying and then what I said. I thought about how nice she was, funny, sweet. She was absolutely gorgeous. I loved her smile and her eyes made me weak in the knees. I know we just met but I never felt like this with any of the other girls I have been with in the past, and that hasn’t been many. And I am sure that if I got to know her more there would be other things that would lead me to like her more. I wonder if she likes me too?
I looked at Louis, who was waiting for my answer. Then I looked at the other guys and they seemed just as eager to know as well.
I looked down at the floor and scratched the back of my head. “Yeah… I think I do.” I looked at them and they all had shocked expressions on their faces.
“Oh my god!” Louis said, standing up. “My baby is all grown up!” He hugged me and I awkwardly hugged him back. Louis was pretending to cry.
“Alright, Niall.” Zayn said patting me on my back.
“Thanks.” I said smiling. I felt a little embarrassed. The boys started to talk up again, but I tuned them out trying to get my thoughts straight. ‘I like her. I like her.’ I thought. I could not wrap my head around this. Maybe it was just the pressure of the lads getting to me
and I was having false emotions. But I felt that it wasn’t, that there was something a little more there.
I think about the ticket and giving her my number. I hope I made the right decision in giving it to her. I really hope she texts me.
About 15 minutes after leaving the theater, we arrived at our flat, which will be our temporary home for how ever long we will be in L.A. The record company is paying for it so all 5 of us will be staying together. The record company thought staying in a hotel would be too public, that the fans would be able to get to us. And they wouldn’t allow individual flats because it was too much money, so we are stuck together. But I am excited to be sharing a house with the boys again, it will be just like X-Factor.
We got off the bus and grabbed our duffle bags. All our other luggage should already be here.
“Wow.” Louis said as we all walked inside. I closed the door behind me, seeing that the tour bus was pulling away. I turned around to see my surroundings. And it was a ‘wow’ indeed.
There were couches and a flat screen T.V. to my right and a full kitchen with a bar and stools to my left. I looked at the boys, who were in disbelief too. It was so modern, it was so… us.
“Soooo…” Zayn started to say, “… How do we pick rooms?”
We all looked at each other. Harry started to smile. We all ran for it, pushing and shoving and laughing.
“WAIT!!” Liam yelled. We all stopped and looked at him. “We can do this in a civilized manner, can’t we?”
We all started laughing at him. “C’mon guys, I am serious.”
“And I am Curious George.” Louis said smirking. We all cracked up again.
“Ok, ok. What do you want to do, Liam?” Harry asked.
“Lets just all go around to each of the rooms together, look at them, and then we pick which one we want going by the first letter of our first name.” Liam said.
“Are you kidding me, Payne?” Zayn said sternly.
“Well, it is better then killing each other.” Liam said.
“How about we all looked at the rooms together, and at the end we all stand by the door of the room that we want, and if two or more of us is standing at the same door, we have to play rock-paper-scissors for it.” I suggested.
“I like that idea.” Harry said.
“Me too.” Louis said.
I looked at Liam and Zayn, they were nodding in agreement. “Ok then.” I said.
We all went upstairs and went around to each of the rooms, looking around at each one’s features. Once we were finished, we stood in the middle of the hallway, staring at each other.
“Ok, nice and calmly, everybody walk to the room that they want.” I said. We all broke apart and I walked to the second door on the left. I turned around to see where everyone else was at. Ironically, we were all standing at different doors, no doubles.
“This is just bloody scary.” Louis said. I started to chuckle, while the lads just smiled.
“Well that was easy.” Harry said, walking away to get his duffle bag. I followed as well as the other lads. I grabbed my bag and walked towards the kitchen, and opened the fridge. I am hungry. Luckily there was already made, store bought sandwiches. I grabbed one.
“Do you guys want a sandwich?” I said asking the lads.
“Yeah, I’ll take one.” Liam said. I threw one to him. Zayn clapped his hands and I threw him one as well. Louis and Harry soon followed, and got a sandwich.
“I am going to eat in my room and unpack.” I said, looking at the lads. They just nodded since their mouths were full of food. I went into my room and closed the door behind me. I put my duffle bag and two suitcases on my bed and flopped down. When you walk in there was a bed to the right with little table-stands on both sides. There was a dresser next to the door entrance to the right and a window on the far wall to the left of the bed. My bathroom and closet were to the left when you walked in, opposite the end of the bed. It is a good thing I get my own bathroom, as well as the other lads, because Harry and Zayn take forever to get dressed, and sharing just one bathroom would be suicidal.
I sit up and start to eat my sandwich. I stared at the unopened luggage. ‘Might as well get it over with.’ I think. I open my duffle bag that has my iHome, and plug it in next to my bed on one of the night tables. I put my phone into it and start to play some music. I open the rest of my bags and start putting away my clothes, either in my dresser or hanging them up in my closest. I put all my shoes on one side of my closest. And when I am done unpacking, in a matter of 30 minutes, I put my empty suitcases and duffle bag on the other side of my closest.
I quickly take a shower and change into some boxers and a t-shirt. I sit down on my bed playing around on my laptop and finishing off my second sandwich. There was a knock on my door.
“Yeah?” I say.
The door opens and Louis’ head pops in. “Hey Nialler.” His smile went completely into a surprise reaction after looking around my room. “Oh my god. Did you finish unpacking?” Now he was completely in my room and closed the door behind him.
“Yep.” I said, smiling completely proud of myself.
“Good for you, lad. Now you can help me.” He said chuckling.
“No, I don’t think so.” I shook my head.
“Alright, alright, fine.” There was a moment of silence.
“Is there something on your mind, Lou?” I asked, a little concerned, because it wasn’t like him to be so quiet.
He looked at me and smiled. “Yeah. Actually there is.”
“Ok. What is it then?”
“Tell me about her. About Rebecca.”
My eyes widen, and he smiled at me. I chuckled and looked down, rubbing the back of my neck. I felt my face get hot.
