It's so quiet in study hall today. Everyone is studying for finals and the quiet is really off putting.
I swear, everyone looks up at the pone. At the same time. Then, little by little, we all go back to studying.
"Olivia," Mrs. Woods pipes up.
I look up at her. She has a huge smile on her face. She's very young to be study hall teacher, but she doesn't have to do anything. So she's living the good life. "Yes?" I ask.
"Someone is coming to meet you. They want you to wait for them outside the room."
"Okay," I stand up and walk down the aisle. Then I head to the door, walk out, and close the door behind me. "I wonder who's coming for me." I ask no one as I sink down the wall to a sitting position.
Whoever has come to see me is obviously staying for lunch. Speaking of lunch, I think this school has the best lunch. Every high school grade eats lunch at the same time. Same with the middle and elementary school. We're just one big school separated by turn tables that are in subways and such. Anyways, after 5th period, everyone heads to the Café. It looks kind of like a mall's food court, but with the different fast food choices we just have different sections to order. The last thing that makes lunch time here awesome is we can eat in three different places. A good amount of people will stay in the Café area. Then, if it's nice outside, some people will go to the courtyard just off to the right of the Café. But a majority of people always go to the green house room. It's off to the left of the Café and is always the perfect temperature. You can see the sky all the time without being too hot or too cold. It is kind of like the courtyard, but indoors and bigger. My band mates and I have always eaten there. One more fact about the Café and I'll shut up. It's right in the middle of school, so all the grades use it and can eat in whatever place they please.
I sigh as I hear my stomach growl. That's what I get for thinking of lunch.
Then I hear footsteps, but they don't faze me. If they're here for me, they'll say something.
"Um, excuse me, but I'm looking for a beautiful girl named Olivia," comes a voice I love to death. "Do you know where she is?"
I look up at Liam and meet his gaze. Then I hop up and bring him into a big hug. "I would've never guessed you were my visitor."
He gives me a small squeeze, "All the boys come to surprise you girls today. We've missed you so much."
"We never see you enough it seems."
He holds me out by my shoulders, "We're not going to be apart much longer."
"You'll find out at lunch when the boys tell all you girls."
I smile, "Sounds good. Now, let's head back into the classroom. I need to study, and you can help if I need it."
"Fine by me. As long as I'm with you I'll be fine."
"Good. Now come one," I start dragging him into the classroom. I don't care if people whisper about us. Everyone knows we're dating, so anything they want to say won't faze me. Same to the other girls. 'Ignore the haters and embrace the love' is our new saying. It's what we tell each other, and ourselves, when we feel the hate getting too strong. It has always worked and I hope will always work.
Ever since Dangerous went big, I've had to sing at least once a week in choir. I quit show choir but kept choir to keep my singing voice strong. Anyways, I'm singing One Direction's 'Tell Me A Lie'.
I pause to take a breath when something I never would have guessed would happen, happens. "Tell me I'm a screwed up mess. That I never listen, listen. Tell me you don't want my kiss. That you need your distance, distance," sings a boys voice that has an Irish accent to it.
I spin around to see Niall, who has now stopped singing and has a huge smile on his face. "Niall!" I exclaim as I rush over to him.
He puts out his arms and catches me as I rush into him. "Hello love. I've missed you too."
"Why are you here?"
He holds me out by my shoulders, "It's all going to be explained at lunch."
"Sounds good," I smile.
"Can you two sing a duet?" some girl asks.
"Yeah, we have ten minutes with nothing to do," another girl adds.
"Want to Niall?" I ask.
"Of course," Niall smiles. "What should we sing?"
"How about 'Always Be Together' by Dangerous?"
"I've heard that song and it's good. Perfect choice."
"Okay, then let's sing."
"Someone drop a beat!" Niall throws his hands into the air. Everyone laughs, and then Niall and I start singing.
I slide another book onto the shelf. Every Thursday I go to the library and put away books. I get points in English for it and I get out of English class, too. It's a win-win.
"Um, excuse me ma'am. I'm looking for a certain book. Can you help?" a boy asks. His voice is very familiar, and it makes me feel happy inside.
"Sure, what's the name of the book?" I ask and turn to the boy. My voice gets caught in my throat as my eyes meet with my boyfriend's: Louis.
"It's called, I've missed you too love," he brings me into a hug.
"What are you doing here?" I whisper to him.
"Visiting you," he whispers back. "And the boys and I have some news for Dangerous."
"Good or bad?"
He holds me out by my shoulders, "It's great news, babe."
"Are you telling us all at lunch?"
"Yes. So how much longer do we have?"
"Just a few minutes to get out food," I smile. "Help me take the book cart back and then we'll be on our way."
I'm so happy Louis came. Same with the other boys. All the girls have missed the boys. We love them, and it hurts to be away from them for any amount of time.
