As weird as Quirrell's classes were, they were a source of protection for those who were being chased by their siblings. Bryce was, of course, one of them. But, even if he was glad to be away from Callum, didn't mean he was actually paying attention. He was actually planning on how to avoid Callum and catch Edmund, Alex, or Dustin and tell them Callum's secret. The chances were extremely low. He knew, without a doubt, Callum would do his best to be outside Quirrell's class so he could catch Bryce. It didn't help that Callum's next class was Defense Against the Dark Arts.
An idea occurred to him. Bryce raised his hand. Quirrell called on him right away, hoping Bryce would comment on the lecture. Bryce didn't.
"Professor, can I please go to the restroom? I really need to go!"
Everyone was surprised. It was almost impossible that someone would go to the bathroom in the middle of class.
"Is it r-really im-important?" Quirrell stuttered.
"Yes, sir, it's an emergency," Bryce replied.
"V-Very w-well, b-but hurry b-back," Quirrell said, and a piece of parchment flew towards Bryce. He caught it and left the room.
The moment Bryce left the room, he went straight over to Professor McGonagall's classroom and knocked on the door. Professor McGonagall opened it.
"Professor, I need to speak to Edmund," Bryce quickly said. When Professor McGonagall raised her eyebrows, Bryce added, "It's urgent."
"Alright," she replied. She went back in and a few seconds later, Edmund walked out.
"Bryce? What's wrong? What's so urgent? Is someone hurt? Did Alex do something again?" Edmund's flow of questions started the moment he saw Bryce.
"No, no one's hurt, but I might be," Bryce said.
"Who's going to hurt you? The Malfoy boy?"
"No, not Malfoy. He doesn't have enough guts. But Callum might," Bryce quickly said.
"Callum?" Bryce nodded. "Why?" He questioned cautiously.
"Because, I caught him with his girlfriend, Alexia. When I threatened to tell all of you, he started chasing me. The moment the bell rings, he's going to try to get me to shut my mouth."
Edmund's eyes had become wide. "Right. Well, I'll keep him away. You go back to your class." I nodded then turned away. I was only a few steps away when he said "Bryce?" Bryce turned to face him again. "Thanks, for letting me know. I've been trying to find out his girlfriend's name for weeks."
Bryce didn't have time to reply. Edmund had already gone back inside.
