3. chapter three
After Kyle goes to school I decide to just walk around the town. I walk to a park and sit on a bench watching traffic go by and people talking. Then I see him.....again. Louis. He comes running over to me.
"How's it going?" He says. I stand up.
"You're everywhere! The alley, on the way to Kyle's school, and here!"
"It's a good thing I was in the alley. If I wasn't you might be dead in a ditch somewhere out of town." He shrugs. I just look at him.
"That makes me feel a whole lot better." I say sarcastically. I get ready to walk away but decide not to. If I go he'll either follow me or find me again later.
"What have you eaten today?" He asks.
"Nothing." I sigh.
"I'm taking you out to eat." He smiles. "Let's go." I follow him to his car. He opens the door for me.
"Are you sure this isn't a scheme to plot my death?" I look at him and he just chuckles.
The drive is short and instantly I recognize where we are.
"My dad used to take me here. I remember the first time we went, like it was just yesterday."
"Where are your parents?" He asks.
"When I was thirteen and Kyle was three he want deaf. A year later they left us."
"Oh...I-I'm sorry. Maybe you guys could come over to my house for dinner sometime. .My mum loves to cook." I smile at his kindness. "How about tonight? I'll ask her. Here's my number." He grabs my hand and writes his phone number with a pen he found. Then I take the pen from him and write my phone number on his hand.
"Now, let's eat." He climbs out of the car.
