I heard Lou's car. I put on my coat and, with hurrying footsteps, Left the apartment. There he was in his black Jeep with one of plain black shirts and baggy jeans.
He smiled and opened my door for me. I sat in and we drove off.
"So are you still not going to tell me where we are going?" I winked at him. He smiled and shook his head, smirking "Nope!". I sighed and looked out the window. in some 20 minutes there were no buildings anymore, just greenery and farming fields. No seriously where are we heading? slowly, some big mountains of rocks blocked the scene. I turned back to Louis. He kept taking quick glances at me every now and then while driving.
"Where are we heading to? come on Lou!!" I tried.
"Patience is a virtue!", he said with a straight face. I turned back to the window. In minutes the mountains left and there right in front of me was the...beach! It smelled so beautiful and looked so magical. but that wasn't all. right there in the distance was a big house, white with a big green garden of flowers. It was amazing.
"Wha-what is this?"
"Umm somewhere you will love?"
"Uhh I can tell already"
We parked and entered the garden. A gardener standing by saw us and bowed to us.
"Oh my he's bowing!" I was surprised
"Yeah I know!" Lou smiled
"Welcome back Mr. Louis" the gardener said with a smile
"Hey Uncle Dan" Lou waved. We walked up to the front door and before Louis could knock a woman with aged wrinkles and expensive clothes opened the door, hugged Louis cheerfully and got us in.
The house from the inside was even more wonderful. the walls were all sparkly white and the floor had pretty red mats. the sofas were all white and red. An old man was sitting there and when he saw us he hugged Louis and commented, "Is that her?"
"Umm no no!! not what you think!"
"I'm Lizanna, nice to meet you"
"It's her... mom, dad, it's her!"
"Li-lizanna!!" their jaws dropped and they took me in their arms. The old woman squished my cheeks and kissed me on my forehead, then hugged me again. It dd take me some time to realize that Louis just said MOM AND DAD!! I felt the tears drown my eyes and I hugged her back. we both started crying. My dad bent down as he was pretty tall, and kind teary aged eyes, he smiled, "Nice to have you back little princess"
I hugged him tight, and he swung me around just like he did back in the times. Louis laughed and Mother squealed with worry, "put her down you may hurt our back!! Louis stop laughing this serious"
We all sat around the dining and had our lunch. with little laughs and tears, memories and explains, it felt like...like I have been with them all along. It was probably because they were in my heart and I was in theirs. I wanted to stay with them longer, to get to know them more, to not leave ever agin. I could feel that bubbly warm feeling tickling me. It was the feeling of love. Not any love. But family love. Because there is nothing stronger than family love.
We go around looking for people who will love us and treasure, forgetting that we already have them, mothers will always love you for who you are and fathers will always treat you right and save your heart, so trust them and no one else. That was all I learnt and I wanna learn.
"Do you think we should leave now Liz?" Louis asked
"Oh no you are not taking my daughter away Mr Louis! Liz is staying here for the night"
"It's okay Louis I'll stay for now!"
"As you with princess" He kissed my forehead and said he will be coming tomorrow to pick me up. Mom and Dad gave me a room to stay in To my surprise that room wasn't a guest room, but it had my name on it in black and turquoise.
From the inside it was even more beautiful it was all in black, white and turquoise, my fave colors! it's like they knew me! The room had many family pictures all around. I took off my necklace and opened it up. finally that picture isn't just a memory, or a dream. Finally.
"You have done it Liz, You have!" I heard Eve say. I smiled with tears, then lied down and slept like a baby. Finally. Finally my demons left me and the angels of love are surrounding me now, protecting me...It's all I would ever wish for.
