I raked my blonde hair back in order to form an okay ponytail to wear for the day, I added a touch of mascara and some concealer just to look presentable. Anne was coming over for dinner to discuss something about her son, I was not looking forward to that considering I loathed Harry. I decided I would dress nicely since Anne made it seem rather important but I was not sure what it was but it could not be good if it was going to involve Harry.
I wore a black flip skirt that came to the middle of my thigh and a white cropped t-shirt, it was nice but casual. I decided just to where my baby blue vans with it since I was just at home, I skipped down stairs where my mother was setting up the table and my dad was in his study doing work. He probably wouldn't join is tonight, he never does.
"Need any help?" I wondered out loud.
"Not at the moment honey but Anne and will be here any minute so could you just answer the door when she comes." She asked as she placed silver cutlery on the wooden table, my mother had a knack for decorating the dinner table.
"Sure thing." I assured her and walked to the lounge room which was closest to the door. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through tumblr which was filled with all the latest fashion trends and models. At that point in my life I wanted to be a model or a photographer, both of the jobs just appealed to me.
There was a light knock on the door and I smiled. I swung open the heavy wooden door to let her in.
"Hey Kyles." Anne greeted giving me a hug.
"Hello." I greeted back.
"How are you?"
"I'm good you?"
"Same old same old." She said with a bit of a laugh, she was a nurse so she was always quite busy with work. "You look nice by the way."
"Thank you." I shot her a grin and started walking towards the dining room where my mum was bringing out the food. She had made mash potatoes, gravy, sausage and peas. The aroma of the delicious food made its way to my nostrils and I just inhaled the glory that was my mothers cooking.
"Smells da-lish." I commented sitting down at the table, second seat down from the head of the table where I always sit. My mum and Anne quickly greeted each other and afterwards joined me at the table.
"Well dig let's dig in then shall we?" My mum giggled. I just lightly shook my head at her while I started piling food onto my plate, the more the merrier right? Once everyone had a fair amount of food on their plate and we began chewing I thought it would be a good time to ask what she wanted to discuss.
"So Anne my mum tells me you wanted to discuss something with me?" I said more as a question than a statement. Her eye brows lifted up as she remembered her motive for coming to dinner that night.
"Oh yes!" She stated swallowing her food. "You know my son Harry don't you?" Harry. Ah yes. The bad boy of the school. The popular kid. He seemed to be all that to everyone else but to me he was just another person. I also think partly the reason is is that we aren't that different. We both have tattoos. We both like doing things we aren't supposed to. And we both were very flirty. We just had one major difference. I was loved by teachers since I was never caught doing anything wrong. However, Harry has been caught multiple times and so the teachers despise him.
"Yes I know him." I stated blankly.
"Well recently his grades haven't been too good and I know you are an excellent student." Where was she going with this? "Kylie I was wondering if you could tutor Harry?" She asked with a small smile.
Did she really just say that? Please tell me she didn't.
"Well......" I started and my mum knew I was going to say no and she shot me a glare. I sighed to myself. "When do you want me to start?" I asked trying not to sound rude.
"Well the sooner the better." She smiled. I nodded and kept eating. I was so going to regret this more than that time I ate a handful of sand in kindergarten.
After dinner finished I said I was tired and I went upstairs to my room. I changed into an old AC/DC T-shirt to sleep in. I trudged into my bathroom and washed my face before sliding into my soft bed covers. I just stared at the ceiling for a while. Why did I say yes? That was the last thing I thought before falling asleep.
A loud beeping noise filled my brain and I instantly awoke and slammed my alarm. Whoop-di-do it's Monday. After stretching I fell onto my back and laid there for a minute. I groaned and finally got up. I pulled on my white button up short sleeve shirt, it was part of our uniform, and tucked it into the navy blue skirt that came about mid thigh and it was high waisted. Well at least that's how I wore it. I hate skirts that go all the way down to your knees. Plus everyone at the school has the same clothes but just with a different style. I pulled on the long sleeved navy blue blazer and rolled up the sleeves so it was a three quarter sleeve. I did my usual messy pony tail and applied a little make up. I pulled on my knee length socks with the black leather shoes I wear for school. Doing a double take in the mirror to make sure I looked fine then I grabbed my navy blue bag and pulled it on my back. Dragging my feet I made my way down stairs and my dad was in the kitchen.
"Morning." I greeted.
"Morning." He said yawning.
"Tired?" I ask grabbing a piece of toast and I start spreading Nutella on it. He just nodded, not giving much of an answer.
"I'll see you tonight." I waved taking my piece of toast and heading off. I jumped into my black range rover and drove to school, the car ride to school wasn't long and I parked my car in the student parking lots.
As soon as I got out of the car I started making my way to where I meet my friends. We usually sit on the bleachers on the oval since boys usually practiced football(soccer) and it doesn't hurt to watch.
"Good morning losers!" I yell as I run towards them.
"Hey Kyles." My friend Courtney laughed. She was the clown of the group. She is always cracking stupid jokes and laughing. She is also one of the friendliest people you will ever meet, although you could be fooled by her dark hair and eyes which do make her look fiercely intimidating.
"How was your weekend?" Leigh-Anne asked. She was the sassy girl in the group. She had tan skin and a black afro which I always adored, I was even a little bit jealous. She was really funky and cool and not to mention a great singer, I could have seen her being a jazz singer.
"It was good but you'll never guess what happened." I said with flat tone. Me on the other hand I'm the bad girl of the group. I have tattoos and I love being mischievous and pulling stunts. But I guess the blonde hair and blue eyes were often what got me out of trouble.
"Ok now you have to tell us." Jenny demanded. She was the girly girl out of the four, she loved things like fashion and makeup. We would always count on her to get us ready for a date or any special occasion, she wanted to be a fashion designer and I could have totally seen her become one. She was also one of the most gorgeous girls you would ever meet, she was slightly tanned coming from and Italian background and her features were breathtaking.
That was my little group. We were sisters to say the least, always sticking together and having each other's backs no matter what.
The bell went signaling we had to go to class.
"I'll tell you guys at recess yeah?" They all nodded. Sadly none of them were in my homeroom.
When I walked in the teacher was already there and most people were seated. Phew. I wasn't too late. The teacher just smiled at me and I took the only remaining seat, it was in the back of the class next to Louis. He was one of Harry's close friends. Just like my group they had one. Louis was the joker in their group. His mental age was about 5. He is always doing childish things but in he was pretty smart, and not to mention cute.
"Don't let the nerd rub off on you Louis." Harry chuckled from in front off me and I kicked the back off his chair causing him to slide into his desk. I was pretty sure that knocked his wind out which was what I was aiming for. Louis just laughed at what I did not even defending Harry. I smirked satisfied and sat back in my chair. The teacher told us to read and sat down at her desk reading her own book. Me being me. I didn't listen. I got a piece of paper and folded it into a plane.
'We need to talk.'
I wrote on it and threw it to Harry. Soon he threw it back.
That was a I wrote and I got no answer, why did he have to be so stubborn. My first class was English which I had with Court. Luckily I liked that class since I liked being creative.
After the first two periods were finished I went to the cafeteria and bought a water. I thanked the cafeteria woman and made my way over to Harry's group. I was sure his mum has not told him about what she asked me last night, guess I have to do it then.
"Oi Styles! We need to talk." I told him approaching his group of friends. I could tell the were eyeing me up and down but I shrugged it off, I never really talked to them and I wasn't planning to.
"What's so important?" He asked clearly annoyed. Why did he have to be so difficult?
"Well your mum asked me to tutor you." I whispered in his ear so no one could hear, I didn't want anyone to know as much as he did.
"Wait what?" He snapped standing up and pushing me away from the table of guys.
"You heard me." I stood folding my arms once we were far enough away.
"Well you didn't agree did you?" He asked clearly hoping for a no.
"My mum made me." I confessed. He ran a hand through his brown curls looking rather annoyed at me.
"So what are you supposed to do come over every after noon so we can 'study'?" he said sarcastically.
"Yes." I told him in an annoyed voice.
"Well that sucks." I could tell he really didn't want to do it and neither did I.
"We'll figure something out alright but for now I'm gonna have to go to your house after school." I stated.
"Well my mums home so at least she'll think we are studying." He sighed. I nodded. After that we had nothing to say so we parted ways to ours groups of friends.
"So what was it you were going to tel us?" Jenny asked as soon as I arrived at the bleachers.
"Oh I have to tutor styles." I told them whilst rolling my eyes.
"He's hot." Courtney added with a smirk.
"You so have chance with him." Leigh-Anne smiled whilst wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.
"Umm no thanks." I laughed pulling out my sandwich.
"Aww what's wrong with Haz?" Jenny asked and I almost cringed at the nickname she had for him.
"More like what isn't wrong with him?"
When they finished laughing we just started talking about the usually things like what we did on our weekends and what parties were coming up. Soon the bell rung and we all had to go to class.
The day seemed to have dragged on forever but eventually the bell rang for the end of the day. Everyone rushed out of school like a stampede. I had no reason to rush though. I just slowly made my way to my locker. When I closed my locker and I had all my books sorted the hallways were quiet and empty. I liked it that way. It was somewhat peaceful. I strode out of the school towards my car. I just sat there for a minute and sighed. Why'd my mum make me do this? I thought as I started the car and drove to the Styles' house. I parked my car in their drive way and locked my car as I got out. I knocked on the door and Anne answered it.
"Oh Hello Kylie Harry is in his room." she smiled letting me in. I just smiled back and made my way to their stairs after I thanked her even though I was mentally cursing her for asking this favour. I climbed the stairs up to the third floor. Yes their house was huge. I saw the white door covered in various stickers, Keep Out STYLES please leave. I pushed the door open not even knocking because I was annoyed and I didn't really think. I found Harry shirtless as he was looking through his drawers.
"I-I should have knocked." I admit as I catch myself staring at his tattoo covered torso. Snap out of it.
"Clearly." He snapped obviously being quite annoyed by me walking in, though he started smirking when he realised I was still staring. "Sorry to ruin your fun but I'm going to put a shirt on now.
"Like I care." I rolled my eyes, kicked off my shoes and sat on his bed and started digging through my bag for my phone. Once I found it I proceeded to pull out my math books and opening the text book.
"You do know you aren't actually going go tutor me right?" He asked looking almost disgusted.
"Yes you idiot but your mum has to think we are." I told him and all he muster was a simple 'oh'.
"My work called me and I have to do another shift." She said a bit sadly. She worked at the hospital with my mum so she was hardly ever home.
"Well I'll see you in the morning then mum." Harry said and she left. We put the books to the side and I stretched myself across his bed clearly not giving a damn about what he thought.
"You know you can leave now." He told me.
"Well my mum still thinks I'm tutoring you and I have no where else to go so if rather sit here for another hour than sit in my car."
"Fine but then we are watching a movie because us talking isn't going to work."
I agreed with him and he ended up putting on some sci-fi flick about aliens taking over the world, totally amateur. During the movie I unlocked my phone and started occupying myself by playing solitaire because it was frankly more interesting than the movie.
What happened next was more than unexpected. I felt Harry's hand on my thigh and I immediately froze, my heart was racing and my blood was boiling all at the same time. I moved my leg away from his hand not dating to look at him.
"Don't even think about it pretty boy." I warned him.
"You want me, I know you do."
"Fuck off." I scoffed at him, he thought he was so much better than everyone else and he needed to learn that he was not. I didn't know what game he playing but I didn't want to be apart of it.
He grabbed my phone and the it at the end of his bed, "Harry what ar-" mid sentence he cut me off by pinning my body underneath his.
"I can make your heart race and you know it." He was so cold and so sexy at the same time. Did I just call him sexy? No he was anything but sexy.
"Get off of me." I begged quietly as my voice betrayed my thoughts, I wanted to seem stronger but I sounded like a weak little girl. Luckily for me he rolled off of me snickering.
We sat in silence watching the movie for about ten minutes. My mind ran through what happened earlier that day in math when Jenny told me that I should considering going out with Kylie. I mean I didn't date, well I hadn't for a long time and for a good reason you could trust girls. They were just as bad as guys with cheating and lying.
"Can I ask you something?" I blurt out randomly. She just looks a me and then nods hesitantly. "Did you know you friends asked me to consider going out with you?" I'm pretty positive she didn't know.
"My friends did what?!" She asked raising her eyebrows at me. Maybe I shouldn't have told her that. Whoops, oh well.
"Yeah they kinda did that." I said scratching the back of my neck, well this is awkward. I mean she was fit and all but dating wasn't my thing, the only reason I even talked to Jenny was because she was dating someone from the football team, I got kicked off but I was still tight with all of the guys.
"I'm going to kill them." She said through gritted teeth.
"Well why would they even say that?" I asked trying to calm her down I was not up for her causing a scene.
"Well I really don't know because they didn't even know I liked you when we were younger." She babbled. After she said that she froze. A smirk appeared on my face.
"You liked me?" I asked raising one eyebrow.
