"I'm sorry what?" Louis looked perfectly mortified and was in absolute denial.
"I'm pregnant." I repeated trying to be more confident but the crack in my voice was clear which caused Harry to pull me closer to him.
"Are you trying to tell me that - that I'm a father?" He asked panic clear in his voice as he tugged on his hair. He clearly did not want to be in this situation but none of us did so we didn't blame him.
"The thing is there's a 50% chance that either you .... or Harry could be the father." My voice trailed off not exactly knowing the right words to say to him.
"What do you mean?" He asked clearly confused and just trying to find answers but luckily Harry stepped in.
"So exactly a week after you -" He gripped the kitchen island Harry making his knuckles white and he sighed as u grabbed his hand tighter. "After you slept with Kylie, me and her also slept together. It's impossible to know who's it is until it's born. There are pre birth paternity tests but that's not something we can afford. She's been pregnant for around two months." Harry explained it all which I mentally thanked him for and Louis' face was white with shock.
"You do realise that is seven months. SEVEN. What is this the waiting game?" Louis asked clearly more nervous than any of us. "But you two, you're still together? what if it's not ..." His voice faded as he realised how horrible the situation is. Neither me or Harry were thinking about that option, we blocked it out because it's the most heart crushing one there is. "Oh god I fucked up."
"Well no shit Louis!" Harry yelled but it wasn't out of anger, his face was filled with fear and sadness rimmed his eyes as a single tear travelled down his cheek. He was crying. I had never seen him cry. "You screwed up big time." I pulled Harry into a hug whilst he was still looking Louis dead in the eye as I tried comforting him. "I trusted you. You were my best friend." The pain in his voice was clear and the tears started running down his cheeks more and more. Louis was glassy eyed and speechless as he watched his best friend cry, probably something that didn't happen much.
"I am so sorry, I will never forgive myself for what I did but you are still my best mate Harry. I have no idea how to make it up to you but I swear I will." Louis was pleading but Harry didn't look the least bit impressed.
"You can't." He spat as he tug himself out of my arms and walked out of the house. He was still angry with me too. He gave me a second chance but I could sense the anger that was still there. He doesn't trust me even though I don't recall the incident. Maybe that was why he forgave me. Simply because I couldn't remember but Louis remembered it all.
"Kylie please talk to him." Louis begged. "He's the only person I've got that really knows me, we've known each other for so long and I just can't loose him now."
"I'll talk to him." I said softly placing my hand on Louis' shoulder. "But I can't make him forgive you. Maybe just give him a little more time, he'll come around." Louis nodded and I walked out of the house to try and find Harry but suprisingly he was sat on the porch steps with his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands. I quietly sat next to him placing a hand on his thigh rubbing gentle circles. He said nothing as we sat in utter silence for a few minutes so I decided to speak up. "How about we go back to yours? We'll put on a movie and heat up some popcorn and just spend the rest of the day relaxing, I think we could both use it."
He looked up at me with a small smile and puffy red eyes. I reached out and wiped his cheeks to rid them of the tears. "I'd love that."
After we'd spent the day cuddling and eating I decided to stay over because I didn't want to leave him alone and I didn't want to face my parents either. Our day was fun and consisted of pointless banter but we enjoyed each other's company. The next morning was when my morning sickness kicked it and I was sitting at the toilet for at least half an hour committing my guts out. Harry took care of me though, cleaned me up and held my hair back. He was the perfect boyfriend and I couldn't possibly think to have anyone better. We spent the first week and a half of the holidays hanging out as much as we could buy it was holidays and that meant it was back to working, he worked at a local music shop and I worked at the bakery. I only worked a few days a week which I was thankful for.
Christmas Eve was spent with my family having a nice dinner and unfortunately not seeing Harry. But when it was finally Christmas morning it was time to go visit Harry and his family like we always did. I stood infront of the mirror as I looked at my ridiculous Christmas sweater and skinny jeans that were tipped at the knees. I combed my hair out and pulled a Santa hat on my head because u was feeling festive. I was glad my sweater was a size to big because it hid the small bump I was accumulating. I hadn't told anyone, seeing as I hadn't spoken to my friends since we sort of drifted but we never hung out outside of school much anyway.
"Come on Kylie we don't want to be late!" My mother yelled from down stairs and I quickly shoved Harry's present in my bag and slipped on my black vans before heading down stairs. "Here could you carry the pudding." My mum stated more than asked as she handed me here delicious Christmas pudding she made every year. My dad had some meat and my mum carried salad and cookies. All the presents were already in the trunk of the car and the food got shoved next to me. Their house wasn't very far away so it was a quick drive.
"Oh hello!" Anne greeted when she opened the door and let all of us in. "Your pudding looks as delicious as always!" She commented to mum.
"Well let's hope so!" My mother laughed in response and I put the food down on the table.
"Hey!" Gemma exclaimed from behind me and I didn't realise she had come home for the holiday.
"Gemma I haven't seen you in a while!" I giggled happily as I have her a hug.
"Yeah it been a while! How are you? You know since everything has happened?" She asked quite wearily like she didn't want to step on cold spot.
"Yeah, no, I have been good. I've been better but me and Harry patched everything up and it's been good.". I told her with a genuine smile. That's when I saw Harry emerge from the hallway with a dark green sweater and a Santa hat on his head, holiday Harry was definitely my favourite Harry.
"That's really good I hope it all works out, I'm just gonna go help your mum unpack." She said as she went off to help them out the Christmas presents underneath the tree.
"Hi." I breathed as Harry approached me and I saw a smile grow on his face.
"Hello beautiful." He murmured placing a soft kiss on my forehead as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders and I wrapped my arm as around his chest. "Merry Christmas." He said as he pulled his hand from behind me and I didn't realise he had been holding a small black box.
"It's not even present time yet." I blushed as I took the box holding it in my hand.
"Don't worry they won't notice plus it's a little some extra I bought that I wanted to give you myself." He smiled as his hands dropped to my waist.
"Harry you shouldn't have." I gushed as I opened the small black box that had a small silver ring. It was shaped like a crown of queen and I couldn't help but smile. "It's beautiful."
"It's a promise ring." He stated softly. "A promise from me to you that you will always be my queen and I will always be your King." He whispered as he brought his hand up to my chin and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. When we pulled away he took the box and took the ring out, that's when I realised he was wearing a ring too. It was shaped like the crown of a King and it made me smile, I was beyond happy with his gesture. He placed the ring on my middle finger on my left hand and I couldn't help but gawk at the beautiful ring.
"I love it." I told him giving him another peck. "Seeing as we are out presents early I'll have to admit I bought you something small too." I sad as I pulled his present out of my bag. The box was wrapped in Christmas paper but I had done it in such a way that the box could still be opened asn closed without having to tear the paper of. He looked surprised as he took the box and I was smiling quite excited to see his reaction. When he opened the box his eyes lit up as he pulled the leather strap from its box. "I remembered how much you liked photography so I got one made." It was a brown leather camera strap that was custom made and had 'styles' imprinted on it. My mum had a friend and I thought it was the perfect gift.
"It's perfect." He smiled putting it back and giving me a hug. "I couldn't have asked for a better girlfriend." He smiled as he planted soft kisses all over my cheeks. I giggled and pushed him away so I could put away the small black box.
"Come on kids time to eat!" My father laughed and I shook my head in amusement as we made our way to the table. Dinner consisted of losts of jokes and chats around the table with our parents and Gemma. It was on overall great day considering I'd gotten some nice clothes from Gemma and the entire box set of friends from my parents. Possibly the best Christmas I had ever spent. All because I spent it with him.
